I am here to share the same experience as on their Yelp page. Horrible online order experience. I had ordered an acoustic guitar online from this location that was supposed to arrived at guitar center in orange, Ca on October 14th. I didn't receive any email updates so decided to call the this store directly. They told me there were no bubble wraps available for them to ship my guitar out. Why would you even openly tell a customer that. This was one or two days before my arrival date. I asked if they were able to go to a nearby store to purchase the bubble wraps and the response was "they do not have a budget for it" and that corporate had to approve. I called back on Friday the 17th and they said the wraps finally came in, but ups will not be able to pick it up on time. When I first talked to them, they had promised express shipping. I had an email notifying that ups had just picked it up today 10-20-25, but stated it won't get here until Friday the 24th. I checked the details and it was regular ground shipping instead of express. The unprofessionalism at this store is beyond disappointing. They could've reached out at least to explain the situation on the delation in the first place. Then they had the nerves to just bluntly say there's not bubble wrap. Then promised express shipping that was not kept. Mind you I had already paid shipping for this item, which I don't mind. But why even lie to a customer just to try to make up for the situation and not follow through. I am now about to miss my second guitar class that I had already paid for as well. This is beyond pathetic. Don't get time wrong, everyone I talked to was nice but their actions when the phone is...
Read moreRecently purchased a $200 classical yamaha from this place.
The bald (nothing wrong with bald, but its descriptive) sales guys attitude totally changed from dissmissive to pleasant once he realized I was actually there to buy. (Full disclosure I was testing a guitar perhaps with slightly more gusto than was appreciated, not wailing on the thing though, played softer when asked)
Bought the Yamaha straight out of the box. Strings fell apart in 3 days. Total garbage.
Would have been nice to get a warning about the poor quality of that models manufacturer strings. Would have purchased new strings and a restring on the spot.
Generally felt disrespected for shopping at that price point.
They gave me new strings when I threatened to return the whole guitar, but not before they tries to pin the 3 day disintegration of new strings on me. 3 days of moderate use. 3 days.
Never buying from Guitar Center again.
Ive had much cheaper, friendlier, more knowledgeable, and more respectful buying experiences at freaking pawn shops.
(Plus there was that one time an associate tried to tell me that monster cables enabled significantly less digital...
Read moreThe repair department has had my guitar since February! Has not been repaired yet. I was asked for my credit card for them to order the part a month ago. Now they are saying no one can look at it for a week and one of their techs in on tour. Their repair department staffing should not be my problem. They offered to give me the part and have me take it somewhere else??? No accountability whatsoever. Very very upset. UPDATE: Now it seems as the staff at Guitar Center installed the new circuit board - that I paid $400 for upfront - and the guitar still doesn't work!!! I was informed of this last Saturday, was supposed to get a call from the manager on Monday, no call, I called yesterday, Thursday and still no update. They were supposed to contact Fender to help troubleshoot the problem. So 1) they have had my guitar since February 2) took my $ upfront to order the part 3) guitar is still not working 4) no one is calling me with an update. I am so upset and frustrated I don't know what to do! Really incompetent and no level of satisfactory...
