Extra Space Storage — Attraction in Danvers

BAD BUSINESS... I rented a unit 4.5 months ago from $132.  Now there is a rate change and it went up to 55% . It is a perfect trap for people. They give you the price and after 4 months they increase it more than 50%. I called and talked with 3 different people. 2 of them were agreeing with me about having this much increase at a time. But the store manager Debrah said that they can't do anything because right now the storage unit is 224$ and mine is still under the price. This is the worse business policy that I have seen in my life. You rent a place, in 4 months they increase the price 55%. How am I supposed to know now they won't increase it again in 4 months? Or do they drop my unit rate when the price goes down? NO they won't. But they can increase it however they want after they take you into their trap. Now in the middle of the year, I can't take my stuff and move it to another storage. They literally push you into this trap and make you accept this much rate change. I am so frustrated with the Extra Space Storage's business which is not customer friendly at all. I don't think anyone would accept this if they know there are more than 55% rate change at a time. This is ridiculous. DO NOT RENT ANY UNIT FROM HERE BEFORE YOU READ EVERYTHING IN THE CONTRACT or YOU ASK EVERY QUESTION ABOUT RATE CHANGE. The same level of storage in other companies are between 140 - 150 $. Their increase rate is extremely high. I can't accept this. It is not about money, it is the way they do their business and force their customer to accept this...

My husband and I used Extra Space Storage in Danvers to store our entire 1 bedroom apartment while we moved to California. It is easily the cleanest, most secure facility in the area and the prices are unbeatable. Tanya was very informative, friendly and even gave us our First Month half off!

They have multiple hand trucks in the lobby that you can use free of charge (I know UHaul charges for those), and 3 loading docks that make it super easy to unload a moving truck. One thing to note; We only used the facility for 4 months, so our price stayed the same the entire time, but I have heard that long-term rentals slightly increase in price over time. Regardless, it was much more affordable than any other storage facilities so it would still save you money.

This facility is excellent in all regards. First, the location is easily accessible off of Route 1. This location is clean and well secured. I had large, heavy items to store. I spoke with Brian, one of the fine office professionals, and he took the time to understand my needs and offer me a unit that was perfect. There were times when I was hauling heavy boxes, and I was offered assistance. Upon securing a unit, (I now have two), I was guided through the facility and informed how to understand their lighting system and how to manage a large move. The staff makes this location desirable. They know me when I enter the building. There is a human connection that makes you feel that your decision to bring your valuables to this location is the right one. Dont' look any further, this...
