Darby Free Library — Attraction in Darby

Looks great after State Representative Mary Gay Scanlon help get it's needed repairs. A lot more help for the handicap now more than ever. Love coming here when my kids were little and rent kids early educational learning VHS tapes when they were tots and I had lots of memories when I was a kid with my grandmother and I had many more after when growing up and also when my kids were growing up. If they don't have the book your looking for you can look up the library that does and have sent over not too long of a wait. It might take lesser than 3 days tops. Nice peaceful quiet environment and not too far from SEPTA bus transportation center and the trolley Darby Loop that goes in and out of South West Philly and under ground into center city Philadelphia and excetra. Not too far from the pharmacy and church. It's only a block away from Blessed Virgin Mary Church that's not too far away from Macdade Boulevard. Not too far away from McDonald's restaurant and Popeyes. Beer Distributor and Save A Lot and also...

I have been to many other libraries and this is by far the best I've ever been to the staff is always friendly and will go out of their way and bend over backwards to help anybody... And the fact that it's historic this is the first library ever in the country that was ever built.. Darby has so much history and it's a shame that people can appreciate it..... I love it and will stand by...

Today my son and I attended a workshop with Mrs. Susan (I got her name once so please forgive me if it’s wrong) but she was so nice to me and my son she walked us through on how to make yarn dolls, octopus and spider out of yarn.
