We hired alpine banquets on June 2020. We were attracted by the cheaper prices, which a week before or wedding were raised 3 times!!!! Be aware BRIDES and GROOMS that the menu showed in the first visit said in the bottom “prices can change without notice” the contract says the same!!!! Do not sign it if they are not able to honor the first price!!!! They took the deposit after contract was signed, then reached out for second!! After that I didn’t hear from them, neither they wanted to talk with me after, until couple weeks before my wedding. Well this is because if I knew about all this, I would have canceled it without hesitation!!!! But since I had to wait until few weeks before my wedding, by the contract was not way to cancel or get a refund, so we had to continue with the plans, and paying extra 3 times !!!! ( I wish I can attach the pictures of the menus here, so you can see) Adding to the nightmare of going out of our budget to pay what this banquet required without notice!! To book the tasting was another issue, Helen called me and screamed at me for 10 min , I couldn’t speak at all!! The tasting that we asked for wasn’t available, simple because it wasn’t season, etc… we tried other food that required upgrade (more money) , so then they were happy to help with the rest!!!! Food wasn’t fantastic!!!! The day of the wedding I was thirsty all night!!! Waitress didn’t care more than serving the dinner and that’s it! The bartender was rude and denied soft drinks to people who didn’t drink alcohol. Also, when I brought the names and cards, we have to put them ourselves !!!!! The alpine banquets wouldn’t helped!!! Last thing to mention the oak mill bakery that they work with is a completely disaster we paid over 1000k for our cake and it wasn’t the way we asked for it!!!! We don’t recommend this place !!!! Read moreFor the most part the hall was great. We were unhappy about two issues, and they brushed us off after they received all the money. We wanted the larger ballroom so we paid the minimum of guests needed, even though we only had 95. We knew that and had no problem with that. I ended up switching out five meals for kids meals and they charged us extra. I don't see why we would be charged when the five kids were always included in the amount we paid. I feel like we paid double for them. Another issue was with the cake cutting. I meant to speak to them before the cutting, but was distracted as most brides are on the day of the reception. We had a four tier cake of three flavors. We bought extra cake so guests could have a good size portion and multiple flavors if they wanted. The hall only cut two tiers, they were very thin, and did not ask guests what flavor they wanted. They gave us the two tiers to take home. The one was the largest tier, the bottom. When I mentioned it to them after the reception they told us we should have said something that they had no way of knowing there were different flavors. I said that the bottom tier had where we did our cake cutting and clearly showed it was chocolate, compared to the white looking passion fruit and yellow looking snicker doodle. They didn't answer that. It seems like a trivial issue, but we paid a lot of money for that extra cake only to bring it home. I showed up Sunday the next day to pick up my set up, since I have had events like this and it is not a problem. I showed up at 11 am picked up my set up but my trays were missing, waited for nearly two hours until I was told nobody could give them to me that day I was very concerned because I work all week Long days but I was told the owners and staff were very understanding to give them a call on Monday, I called and got no answer Monday I called Tuesday and a very nice lady answered the phone told me it was okay, mentioned I couldn’t leave the trays behind but to not worry about it they had them and if I could go right away I say I am currently working but I will ask for time off to come by she continued to say we are closed tomorrow Wednesday please come Thursday at 1pm our opening time. I said thank you very much for such great service I was very pleased. I arrived Thursday at 1pm.
