IT truly saddens me to have to write this review I'm hoping to recieve a call directly from the owner, and not staff . a fellow veteran and myself have used your establishment , over the coarse of several months , we have spent hundreds and left generious tips , the server see's us and has our order recorded because we always order the same thing she even stated this , I assumed it was a good thing ,we proceed to play billiards for a few hours , we are older so my friend will often put on music that is from our era of music 70's and 80's soul and rock , we start off by having a shot of honey jack daniels we happen to like it cold , the first time we came ever visited things were perfect and we were impressed enough to tell other veterans about this place , I live north west of your location off of the Fox river we come from our job at the VA hospital to you then I drive home{ just to give you an ideal of my travells to spend at your location} what we were not aware of is how your staff truly felt about our busines we brougth to you but on 5/31/24 at 5;30 we found out ! MY friend arived early sat at the bar asked for a beer and for a menue, the young lady gave him a beer laid down a menue then totally ignored him from that point onward by the time I arrived he was upset because others had come up to the bar and were given service while he was never addressed again { your camera can confirm this } when I went to order the woman left the bar went to the side wispered something to one of her co workers then that person came out instead my co worker politely expressed his concern over being un attended for so long he placed and order ,I placed an order for our shots served Ice cold what this server brought back was almost room temp when we drank them , I tried to inquire as to why the were not as requested and the server took a defensive posture and proceeded to argue with me , I watched as other staff members began watching us I asked for the manager and she stated she was the manager i aske for the name and number to her boss and she said she could not give out his number I asked for his full name and she said she ould not give out his full name I even asked why we were being treated so poorly Thats when i was given an answer she stated you guys come here all the time and complain about the service and the staff is complainig , I begged to differ, we've only delt with one person each time we've come here and we have always left a good tip my last visit I spen 140.00 before that my friend spent 170.00 I spotted our server standing in the corner and asked her if we complained , and to my suprize , she stated you complain about your drinks . I ask since when is a request considered a complaint? we are talking 2 shots each time w have come before we get the evenig underway , as a server you coud have offered to serve it ove ice if it was such a hassel what about the food and beer we order and the money we spend on the pool table what about your tips and then manager stated she was barring us from the Bar we were the only african Americans in the place my friend cancelled his order I paid the bill we vacated due to the treatment recieved and having nobody on staff to try and resolve the situation because she was the one attacking us , it was the worst form of harrassement I've ever experienced in an extablishment all eyes were starring apon us like we comitted a crime not once did we raise our voices i hope you will review your security camera's and watch the bodylposturing if you have no sound, the nicest person was the security guard , who tried to stay neutral , I was told your name was bob and that was all I plead with...
Read moreMy family and I came in Thursday night during the carnival because we noticed they had a $5.00 burger special. We sat down at a table and this server rudely approached us and goes, “do you need something?” And we were like, yes, we would love to get some drinks. She seemed very annoyed even though inside the place wasn’t busy at all. She took our drink order which wasn’t even complicated but yet it still took over 10 minutes to get three waters and two NA beers. When she comes back, she looks confused and rudely says “do you want food?” We were like uhm.,. Yes please So we tried ordering the food which she was super slow at doing. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve worked with toast I can understand but it was clear as day she didn’t want to take our order.
Anyways, we only ordered two burgers because I was splitting with my son so I figured.. maybe this will be fast since it’s not a ton of food. I’m not kidding,,,45 minutes later we got our food. Which what’s funny is our table was right near the kitchen.. we literally saw zero food coming out between the time we ordered and the time we got our food. Again, I get it was night one of the festival but it wasn’t busy AND no food was coming out?
When we got our food... it was cold. I’ve beer. Serving for over 12 years now.. I can tell our food was sitting under the heat lamp and our server just didn’t care. Our burgers were cold, buns were hard, onion rings were cold.. it was sad because we were having such a good family night and the entire experience was awful when we came inside Q bar.
We were barely into our food and our server comes back and rudely says “ok, here’s your bill”
We were still eating and contemplating dessert but she was just unbearably rude and our food was disgustingly cold we just decided to pay mid food eating and leave.
I just don’t understand why someone could make paying guests feel like they weren’t welcomed and our food didn’t matter. Q bar has sincerely gone downhill over the last year when it comes to staff. We will continue to go to their carnivals but I’ll never step foot inside again and spend money at a place that’s so eager to get you to leave.
I understand we weren’t spending a great deal of money and we are no longer drinking so we just have a few NA beers but still. We’re paying customers and regardless of what we order, we should be treated a little...
Read moreDO NOT RECCOMEND. CAN NOT TRUST. $1500 worth of pool cues left behind at a new pool bar I’m trying out. Didn’t live in the area after I left behind, though called MULTIPLE times and each and every time the servers confirmed my cue was there safe and sound… Until the day I showed up unannounced and they told me they couldn’t find it. I was told that day by the bartender to call back and speak with Dino. “The only person who handles retrievals of the lost and found” - per the bartender. I chose to stick around assuming it was a misunderstanding, supported the bar by having a few beers hoping the bartender could get a response from Dino while I was still there. I didn’t rush her, sat around for 20-30 minutes before checking in with her & the response is “no sorry he isn’t sure”. Called back to back to back days asking to speak with Dino after I left, like I was instructed to & get the same run around every time that “Dino is not in today”… Finally, on the 3rd day of calling to speak with him the bartender puts me on hold to “look” and some angry guy picks the phone back up and said “listen man we told you that we don’t have your stuff and there isn’t any need to speak with Dino”. WOW. So the times I called (3-4) to confirm each and every time to the T which stick and bag were left behind and assured every single time. Even though I admit they are NOT responsible or obligated to, shame on me for trusting the bars integrity to keep it safe after they had for as long as they did. In a pool bar with $30,000 worth of pool tables that hosts pool leagues where hundreds of people a week bringing their $1,000+ pool set up. I thought maybe this was a normal thing and they would tag my bag in the back and even require an ID to retrieve. I’m certain at a bar like that, they appreciate the cost of these items.
I can’t help but to feel that they got too comfortable with how long it was left there that someone said “this kid ain’t coming back” and this was all an inside job AND that Dino who is dodging me knows about it. Who knows… I will never support this...
