The museum was great, but the newly built chaple is so sad. No real altar. No kneelers. Tabernacle is in a separate room from the chapel area. It's too modern for my taste. Clean and air conditioning is a plus. The gift store could sell replica ceramic holy water fountains like the one St. Teresa had in her room wall as a kid or a brass one like she had as a nun. The gift store could learn from the shrine of St. John's passion of Christ in Indiana, where they sell things that people actually want to buy. Also, they could put an arrow made of painter's blue tape to show where she carved on the door of her love for Jesus. Overall, it is a great shrine.

Beautiful. I’m not able to choose a favorite (I choose them all!) of the shrine offerings but of course praying with her relics and then the tri-staircase exhibit truly touched me.

Currently under construction. The gift shop should be back to it's normal place October 2017 work construction set to finish on the new shine in September of 2018.

I attended the Friday Holy Mass here and it was an amazing experience. I felt peace of mind and calmness of the soul. There was a sense of tranquility reassuring and enriching my trust in God's unfathomable love and mercy. As I touched the relic of Saint Therese, it seemed to me that there was a voice whispering in my head telling me that she was, and is always there interceding for me. Since 1997, when I was still a teenager, I knew more deeply about Saint Therese and since then I started praying her chaplet honoring the Holy Trinity almost daily and whenever I could, even during vacations. I also love the humility of the presiding priest on that day. It reminds me that God is always choosing us even if we are not perfect, therefore, we should strive harder never to be separated from the Holy...

St Therese has been a part of my life since I was very young. So I was very excited to discover her shrine many years ago and I have been coming to the shrine ever since I live out of state so it is not a regular visit. Imagine my surprise when I brought my family there and discovered this incredible shrine. St Therese said she would send a shower of roses after she died. This shrine is a wonderful way to do just that. Every member of my family shared their experience at the shrine. Each one felt her presence and knew they had been blessed. I am grateful to all who created this Sacred Space. Every one, regardless of age should go to Darian, Illinois St Therese will be waiting for you - anxious recover you...
