Carmelite Gift Shop — Local services in Darien

What a wonderful gift shop! I was lucky enough to work at this store back in the 1990s and will never forget the rich experiences that I had with the customers and my co-workers. It is a very special shop for those participating in special groups at the Spiritual Center. And the store is always well-stocked for the special Catholic baptisms, confirmations, etc., that call for a religious gift. The displays are beautiful and the selection of items is varied and appeals to all age groups.

This is all organized by a top-of-the-line manager, Barbara Pfeiffer. Barb is the reason for the attentive staff, the layout of the store and the ease of doing business at the gift shop.

This was the least Catholic shop we've ever visited. There was secular music being played in the shop, "good luck" charms being sold, and many secular items that you'd find in any gift shop in America. We came in looking for a baptism gift for our nephew, and there was very little to select from. I will say that there were many items of Therese, and other saints if that's ok that are looking for.
