I have been rehabbing houses for 11 years, moved to QC and heard about this place. Went in spent 10 min and left. There prices are way over what's needed. Fact: neighbor who donated a couch gave me a photo of it so i cld see how honest this place is. And the FREE couch was 50 less than a Brand new one. These are donated how can you do that to people that are hurting and are forced to come to your store. You lost mine and 3 other contractors as they went to your store to see for themselves. Business is good in the QC for housing work, but i will never spend money at Scrooge Mcducks Restore shop. Nice people alot to look at, but need to reconsider your sales approach. Or whowvwr sets the prices. Was ready to spend 2300 to furnish a nice older hole in Milan and ledt with 2300 dollars. Please work on your pricing. If it were realisric we would have spent all 2300 with you, and brought you consistant cutomers. Seriously consistant cutomers. This is our livelyhood not a hobby. Pleaese review and accomidaye the public tou need to bit your USED products. Very...
Read moreI have bought several items at the Habitat Restore and have been pleased with the bargins I have found (once they were on sale), however I was there yesterday looking around, thinking to myself - Wow they have really started to price things high for things they get for free.....when all of a sudden the man standing next to me said, "Their pricing has gotten out of hand." I laughed and said I was just thinking the same thing. I priced some flush mount lights at HD the other day that were the same price as the ones - out of the box and no warranty- at The Restore. If they think something is an antique - watch out!! Another example would be some 1/2" x 6" decorative black tiles - Restore wanted $1 FOR EACH. I can buy them for .97 cents at LOWES. I realized that they have sales all the time but I would suggest having someone so a little more reasearch on what is retail and then make sure to discount it right away. It's a bummer to go in and look for something and then say to yourself, well I'll just have to come buy it when...
Read moreVery friendly and helpful staff. The selection of stuff is completely random except for a few things that you can count on being there. One of which is the recycled paint! For $15 a gallon, you can purchase Amazon Paint in twenty (20) different colours! So far we have used it to repaint a dresser, but the success we experienced in that project will definitely lead us to pick up more paint for future projects! Not sure if it was temperature, manufacturing date, or some other reason, but we had to use a drill with a homemade paint mixer to make it usable - it would have taken forever to stir/mix by hand. Another fun category of items is old, outdated tools or fixtures. If you only need one socket or one wrench, I would highly recommend stopping here before buying it new. The only downside to the ReStore is that some of their random items are very randomly priced. I am not sure if the expectation to sell or someone's mood makes a big factor in the pricing, but it tends to...
