My team and I would give this place "0" stars if that option was available. For starters, the supposed host was terrible. Once seated, we waited over 20 mins(no exaggeration)for water, chips, salsa and a waitress? Practicing Covid-19 hygiene, I got up and went to the restroom to wash my hands and while doing so, I looked too my left and I noticed over 20 PRE MADE containers of salsa just sitting out, no covers on the top or anything which in this day of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 this was UNACCEPTABLE and the containers were just sitting next too the water refill area(I wonder how many customers would eat or drink water here knowing this)??? Once the waitress FINALLY arrived at our table, she was overweight with a food stained,NASTY, UNCLEANED apron on??? We were appalled looking at this in this day of COVID-19. She stated she'd just arrived and that they were going through a shift change or whatever. Once order was placed, we noticed there was a NAT/FLY problem they have here. We should've brought a fly swatter with us? (Smh) This place has a horrible drink selection, we noticed as other people arrived they were sitting in close proximity too us and there was NO social distancing as people were seated in booths on both sides of us? Their food is HIGHLY over priced, NO recognition of MILITARY members eating here, NO First responder discounts, you have to take your bill payment too the front where they do NOT even have the courtesy to ask HOW was your meal??? A young child looking girl just takes you check and your HARD earned money, you pay and leave! No please come back, we appreciate you coming in today..NOTHING!!! So do NOT expect ANY acknowledgement!!! TERRIBLE represention of a MEXICAN restaurant! I'm not sure why people were ranting and raving over this place? We/I will NEVER eat here again, nor will I send ANY FIRST responder colleagues, family friends OR military members to this place AGAIN!!! #HIGHLY UNSATISFIED FIRST RESPONDER AND DISAPPOINTED that we wasted our HARD earned monies in this place!!! Signed, we will NEVER EAT IN THIS PLACE...

3 stars for the very reason that TYPICALLY this was our 5 star every weekend type of place. I even would sneak some during the week without him! We always felt it was clean and fun and the food and service was great. We felt like royalty, the food was always super hot and delicious! So on and so forth! However, about a week ago things seem to have gone downhill and have left us with a bad taste in our mouth and an awful feeling in our stomachs. Quite literally. My takeouts started being wrong. Then this weekend We had awful service. I mean downright no service basically. The entire time we were there. The place was dirty. Our food came out forever later half cold (yes COLD) and tasting just not quite right. Textures and colors of the food were off. Halfway through eating I had such severe pain in my stomach (which lasted long into the night) that our Saturday night date went to the trash as I had to rush to the bathroom which I found FILTHY and MESSY restrooms btw! Also met the “owner” to find out he’s a careless d**k when we asked about our food that had a strange thing in it! Didn’t give us longer than a couple seconds and wouldn’t even look at us when we were speaking to him! What even?!?! We spend ~ $200-$250 here MONTHLY to get treated this way. Something has changed, actually everything has changed therefore so did our thoughts on this place as well as our weekend dinner go-to! Costa Del Mar...

Man I usually LOVE the service from this place but tonights was not good. Being a waitress myself, I love good service. At first we thought our waitress was going to be awesome because she was nice but she didn’t introduce herself she just said “what you want to drink”, I had no problem maybe she’s being herself and I’m okay with that! then another waiter had brought out our food, and got us stuff like napkins, extra silverware, check etc etc and that’s fine maybe she was busy.. my friend (also a former waitress) finished with her food and no one has checked on how our food was or if we needed anything. the same waiter who brought us our food had noticed we needed something so he helped us again. and he picked up our dishes. The waitress didn’t even come back until we were basically done with our food and only said “oh someone got your guys plates already” and just walks back. didn’t even ask how everything was, nothing. She only took our drink order and picked up two glasses out of the whole time we were there. As we were leaving no one bothered to say have a good night or thank you. not even our waitress. I only give this place two stars for the service the other waiter gave us otherwise it would be just one star. I appreciate the waiter for helping us out and I hope he stayed with the tip we gave...
