I used to avoid Starbucks in my youth. I always would rather spend my money on local cafes, especially while in school. Over time, I find I just want a nice drink and a comfy seat from time to time, and usually there's a Starbucks around that can supply both of those things.
Today, this particular Starbucks was able to deliver both and leave me satisfied. Located at the top of a hill along westbound Kimberly Road, the outside of this Starbucks is as unassuming and boring as any other with its light tan brick and concrete facade. The interior is something in between the newer Starbucks locations on Middle Road and Elmore Avenue and the older location on 53rd street North of the Super Target. The ceiling plenum is covered by white 2 foot square drop ceiling tiles with a combination of recessed and accent lighting fixtures. The floor is a light brown 1 foot square ceramic tile throughout the dining area. The walls are a combination of wood laminate and light green-gray painted drywall, which continues into the prep area but also includes a backsplash of tessellated white, gray and black granite looking tiles of various sizes. It's not super bright and sterile, like the 53rd Street location, and not dark and modern looking like the other two aforementioned cafes. It's something in-between and unique all the same.
Honestly, I like it for its own style, but also for the comfy chair I found. There's a set of two yellow semi-plush chairs around a low table. They were perfect for my uses on my visit - I got to sit, look at stuff on my phone, and relax for a bit while listening to string quartet versions of 2010s era pop music play softly in the background.
I've begun enjoying the Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade Starbucks offers, not only for the taste but also for the lower calorie count the drink offers. That's what I ordered today and it was as good as it is at other locations as well. I'm probably going to continue ordering this in the future, as well.
I'd count this as another successful Starbucks visit. I can recommend the interior of this location to passers by as much as the others I've visited. It has the same drink quality I've had at other locations and the comfy chairs are present and sufficiently comfy. Thanks...
Read moreI go to the drive thru to order and immediately the worker is rude. She never said thank you, you’re welcome, have a good day. She just didn’t respond when I said those things to her so I immediately knew I wasn’t going to tip. I get my drink and sandwich back and I notice the drink looks really light and also didn’t taste like it had any espresso in it. I went back again to return it and they made another one. It tasted the exact same just like a normal chai. Also everytime I order espresso they write it on the slip on the drink and neither of these had it. So now I’m sitting at home with two chais I don’t want and will probably be going to another coffee store after this since I’ve had 0 espresso and it will not be Starbucks bc why in the actual hell am I dropping a dub on a drink I never wanted. Also for being a multi million dollar company, you’d think that their lids would actually...
Read moreThe barista was rude and argumentative when I asked if my drink had banana protein cold foam added because it didn't taste like banana at all and you could not see the foam at all. She proceeded to argue with me over it. I wasnt trying to be rude I just wanted it to taste right. I ordered the same drink at other locations and it tasted way better and I just told her it tasted wrong and she got very rude and defensive. I won't come here anymore because I felt like I was treated poorly and she was slamming blenders around upset and angry that I didn't want to drink the nasty drink she made me and fought me until I had to just say I want a new one. I have been a barista in the past, just under 10 years experience so I understand it can be annoying at times but I was not rude and I wasn't demanding her to do anything but I want the damn drink to taste good like...
