REVISED WITH CORRECT DATES!!! I don't know where to begin! I found out about Pet Paradise in Davie, Florida, last April 2021, when I was traveling to Puerto Rico. When I initially took my dog there to check-in for boarding, I met Andrea Rosello- Assistant Manager. When checking in my dog, Andrea instructed one of the team members to check on the space for my dog. I remember the gentlemen reporting back to Andrea about the room, and Andrea responded to the team member to move forward- take my dog anyway! When I returned from my trip, my dog began vomiting immediately! I took him to the vet, and he was diagnosed with kennel cough! That was a $ 300 vet bill! On Saturday, April 23, 2022, I went to the facility to ask to see if I could view the space where my dog would be held. I ran into Andrea Rosello again! I explained my concerns about the first visit and how he was extremely sick, and I wanted to make sure the place was cleaned. I was denied a tour of the facility. Andrea Rosello expressed that Kennel's cough is airborne and can last 5-6 days! That's not true; it should stay in the air for about 24-48 hours. If the place is sanitized and clean, as stated by Andrea Rosello, it shouldn't occur. Andrea Rosello assured me that there aren't any guarantees but will ensure that the space will be cleaned before my dog comes. I dropped him off for boarding on Sunday, April 24, 2022. I came back to pick him up on April 28, 2022, at 7:55 am. I was told that my dog had a limp on his left back leg. I asked when did this happen and why wasn't I notified?? The team member said that she wasn't there and she could find who was working with my dog at the time. The team member came back and told me that Andrea Rosello was working with my dog over the weekend, and she stated that Andrea stated she contacted me via text message when the incident occurred. I never received any text message from Pet Paradise. My dog's left leg is hanging, and he will not walk on it. I called his doctor, and the vet stated that it sounds like the left leg is broken, and I need to bring him immediately! I am taking him in the am tomorrow. Whatever the findings are, I will post them! When I brought him in on Sunday, He was happy as ever and had no limps or broken bones!! This place has such raving reviews, and I'm shocked at the unprofessionalism and lack of care that the staff has. My dog cannot speak, and I will continue to advocate for him! How many other pets have been treated in such a manner? Was my dog treated with such care because he doesn't attend doggy daycare? My dog did not deserve the treatment while boarding at Pet Paradise in Davie, Florida. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE! They DO NOT CARE about the pets they board. Again, I will continue to post everywhere to let everyone know about this place and this person!!!!!
UPDATE - THE LAST REPORT SENT TO MY EMAIL ON APRIL 27, 2022, AT 2:32 pm FROM DANIELLA ZALAYA STATING EXCELLENT REMARKS. NOTHING MENTIONED OF LEFT LEG HURT, BROKEN, OR ANYTHING! THIS WAS ON THEIR REPORT CARD AND TODAY'S BATH AS HE WAS LEAVING. WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER DAYS HE WAS THERE?? WHERE ARE THOSE...

In order to get an accurate picture of the prices you must go online. However, the main page where boarding information is listed the prices are not listed there. So if you make a reservation via phone or by their online link you will not have access to their specific prices. In order to see the specific prices you have to click a location link and go to the actual locations page. Anyways, when I made my reservation, since I did not have access to their complete services charges, I relied on the information provided to me by the phone call and to my surprise the charges quoted were way off of what I was actually charged. Further, when I made the reservation over the phone and told them the hours I was looking to drop off or pick up, there was never any mention about any additional fees. Needless to say that when I arrive to pick up my dog there was a huge difference as my $34 per night for two nights turned in to over $100 because they decided to board my dogs together in a suit which was more expensive ($44 for 1st dog and $38 for second). I specifically told the lady on the reservation line and at the location when I called to get information on what shots they needed that I only would want my dogs together if it was cheaper, if not keep them separate. They have been boarded separate before at my normal boarding location and are fine with being separate. So to my surprise the $68 I was anticipating spending per dog for a two night stay turned into over $104. When I brought this to the employees attention they advised me that this time only would they change the price for me to what I was quoted...they acted like it was a huge inconvenience for them to do so when it was their fault for the miscommunication, not mine. The amount was reduced to approximately $90 per dog, which was still more than I anticipated. I figured they charged a bath fee, but no one ever told us it was mandatory for them to get a bath before leaving (some kennels only have the bath as an option). So I paid them.
However, as the day progressed, the price was still disturbing me and so the next day I had them email me my charges. Apparently they charge you a $15 fee for picking our dogs up after noon! I was shocked as this fee amount was never portrayed to either me or my husband when we made the reservation, through my conversations with the location, nor was it portrayed to my husband when he dropped off the dogs. Had we known of this fee we would have either made arrangements to pick them up before noon or would not have hurried back in town to pick them up at 1:20pn. After enough complaining they did end up refunding me the fee, but it was definitely still a headache. I understand a fee for late pick up if a company is closing at 5pm and you arrive at 4:45 or 5:00pm sharp but to be charged around 1:00 pm...seems a little unfair. Lets just say I will think twice before returning to...
Read moreLet me start by saying my first impression with this doggy day care was so poor, I didn't want to come back. When I did, there was another misunderstanding regarding how my dog would be introduced to the other dogs. Andrea did a phenomenal job with handling the situation where I felt lied to and that this business was just after my money. I am an extremely generous person but do not appreciate the lack of transparency. When I finally could communicate this to the staff, I think they understood and made an effort to make this a more welcoming experience. Unfortunately when I first came to this establishment, it was so busy it sounded like a pound. That traumatized my dog, without a doubt. However, I could not overlook the 5 star reviews and now I know why. Underneath all the hustle and bustle, they do care. They do want to help your puppy get acquainted. They do want to help you so you can go about your day knowing your loved one is safe and having fun. When I expressed that my dog was a rescue with serious anxiety and stress about other dogs and kennels, the conversation shifted to be more productive. Ultimately, it helped to see people who have been coming to this place for 7 years as the woman next to me kindly put it. I want to be able to bring my dog here for many years and just hope this business can maintain it's open communication. Biggest tip? Don't deal with their corporate. Just use Extension 4 and talk to them directly. They know more about their day-to-day operations. Andrea did accept fault for the misunderstanding and that did lead to a more productive action plan to get my dog to meet her fitness goals. She took the time to tell me more about the rooms the dogs are kept in and even their overnight boarding. Hopefully this review can help anyone who is on the fence... give them a try. More than one, if needed. If you are ever in doubt,...
