Cooper Diner — Restaurant in Cooper City

3 stars are generous. Went on a Sunday afternoon. Not sure what the issues were. The floor supervisor seemed very welcoming. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The waitress was young and apparently very inexperienced and needs room for improvement. The hostess was very helpful and made up somewhat for the waitress. Although she’s new as well. The lady in jeans must be the floor supervisor? Maybe the owner or someone in authority but she & the staff were running around -on the loud side seemingly confused and irritated. I ordered the Caesar with Blacked Salmon. It wasn’t cooked all the way I only ate part of it the inside was raw. The only one that was apologetic was the Hostess. The waitress didn’t know what to say. But the ‘Manager’ came over and acknowledged that it was not acceptable. And all 3 people I spoke with about it - did offer to make another. But I rarely will do that. And so I ate the romaine lettuce with some sprinkle parmesan cheese like from a container. Not the shaved Parmesan cheese that I envisioned. I don’t eat croutons. So I paid $9.95 for a plate of lettuce 😝. Instead of $13.95 for the blackened salmon. Apparently they are trying out a new chef. Being I was hungry, I ate the lettuce. About midway thru- a family of about 3 flys kept trying to join us. My friend had one finally land right on the end of her straw. Sigh 😔. I had high hopes this would be a cut above the blue moon. But it definitely isn’t based on yesterday’s dining experience. The kids meals and her salad were good. If not for my raw salmon and the flies, I might be giving this another chance. Went there with my wife, the people where friendly enough. We ordered our food, had a bowl of soup and a salad(which was the most basic of basic but charged a premium price). We are that then proceeded to wait for our food. All it was was a party melt and a burger both with fries. So we waited and waited more. 45 minutes later still no food. Almost an hour later the food arrived and it was wrong and not prepared correctly, no grilled onions on the patty melt the burger was almost raw(asked for medium) and it looked like it was frozen then defrosted and cooked in a microwave not even warm but cold. Told the waitress this and they took it away. 15 min after that my wife and myself just said forget it and canceled the order ( now waiting well over an hour for two burgers and fries.) We complained about this and was told oh well it is what it is what do we want her to do about this and I told her cancel it we do not want it anymore and we were leaving. So we got the bill and ended up having to pay for it all anyway. All I. All stay away from here if you value good service and your time and money. Oh yes, one more thing. Came for breakfast and wanted to enjoy the experience. They told us there were short staffed and slammed so we were patient.I asked if we could just order a side of chicken and rice. Waitress said no I would have to get the meal (which I knew meant half the food wouldn’t be eaten) I agreed and didn’t say anything. It took us over an hour and a half to get our food for four people. We didn’t say a word and thanked her for the food. The rice was so hard you could hear it crunch across the table. It wasn’t cooked and was stuck together. I apologized that I had to say anything but that the rice was inedible. I offered to pay for the piece of chicken which is all my daughter could eat. They took a total of 2.00$ off the bill. So we paid 15.00 for one small piece of chicken. The omelette and potatoes my mom ordered were also not good but she just ate them.
