I’m Vicki Amar, Owner and Lead Wedding Planner of Amarvelous Event in Boynton Beach, I recently had the absolute pleasure of planning and decorating a wedding at The Bamboo Gallery. This venue is an absolute gem! We held a beautiful Chinese Tea Ceremony on the dance floor area overlooking the stunning waterfall early in the day, which provided a truly picturesque backdrop. Later, we transitioned to a traditional American ceremony on the lush turf with elegant palms creating a lovely scene. The flow of the day was seamless, and the grounds offered so much for our guests to enjoy during cocktail hour. They loved exploring the various lounge areas, the inviting fire pits, the charming tiki hut bar, and of course, the mesmerizing waterfall.
The evening reception in the paver clearing, nestled within a serene forest of bamboo and illuminated by romantic string lights, was truly magical. What makes The Bamboo Gallery so unique is the ability to separate the dining and dancing spaces. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed transitioning to the other side of the intimate property for a lively party atmosphere after a delightful dinner. The small cottage on-site was incredibly convenient for our catering team, Rollatini Catering, providing an excellent back-of-house setup. The treehouse upstairs was an absolute bonus – it served as a perfect retreat for the Bride and Groom to get ready, have outfit changes, and even capture some special photos with loved ones.
As the day unfolded, the venue’s flexibility truly shone. We were able to customize the lighting colors for the waterfall and the surrounding trees, adding a personalized touch to the ambiance. Lighting the fire pits as guests moved towards the dance floor created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The entire day from first look to sparkler exit went off without a hitch and was an absolute dream! The Bamboo Gallery offers a unique and versatile setting that allowed us to create a truly unforgettable wedding experience. We look forward to planning our next event at The Bamboo Gallery – it’s a planner’s and client’s...
Read moreDon't believe these other brief, non- descript, and obviously fake reviews! My daughter and I planned her wedding at this place, and if we could do it over, we would never have had it here. Don't get me wrong, this place is beautiful at night, but a total rip-off. Rick, the manager of the property, is shady and will make your wedding planning unnecessarily stressful. Besides paying almost $4,000 for the venue for 6 hours, that was just the beginning... In addition: If you don't use vendors from Rick's "preferred vendor's list," you must pay $250 for each vendor that is not on his list. You will be responsible for purchasing and providing Event insurance. It will be your responsibility to go to the Davie police and hire an off-duty police officer. Also, unless your caterer has a license to dispense alcohol, which they probably don't, you will be forced to use one of Rick's bartenders, and you will be responsible in providing all of the alcohol yourself. For the bartender you will pay $2.00 per person per hour, and then Rick adds on 6% sales tax, and an 18% service charge? This is not an 18% gratuity fee for the bartender, but what Rick calls a "service charge." You must provide a refundable $1,000 damage deposit. Your caterer, or you, will be responsible to provide your own trash cans and liners. I could go on and on, but unless you have an unlimited budget, and plenty of time to do extra things that should already be included in renting a venue, don't have your wedding at the Bamboo Gallery. Oh, and expect Rick to be creeping around at your wedding the entire time, mingling around your guests, and using a dedicated phone to take pictures and videos of your guests. For liability reasons? I wish I could do a do-over, but if I can help one other bride avoid the aggravation of what we went through, then taking the time to write this honest review...
Read moreAs soon as my husband and I walked into The Bamboo Gallery, I knew it was the perfect spot for our wedding. I was so adamant about not having a stuffy wedding inside a banquet hall—I wanted something different and unique. And even though I knew we would be taking a bit of a risk with an all-outdoor venue (rain), I knew it was going to be so worth it. Rick, the venue manager, was so amazing from start to finish and he always answered my questions a timely manner. Compared to other venue managers, he just has this chill vibe about him that made us feel comfortable and that we were in good hands. One thing I really appreciated about him is that he would never try and upcharge us for things that you didn’t need. There were a few times where he even saved us money, and I think meeting people like that in the wedding industry is rare. Fast forward to our wedding and he and his team prepped the venue beautifully! Luckily it didn’t rain during our wedding, but it was raining the days leading up to it. But once we got there, there were no puddles, all the leaves were cleaned up off the turf and the venue looked immaculate. As the bride, you don’t really see what goes on behind the scenes, but my mom made a point to tell me how awesome and helpful Rick was the day of the wedding. The Bamboo Gallery is a hidden gem and I am so happy we decided to get married there. Guests are still talking about how beautiful and unique it was. I even had a guest tell me “I never want to go to a wedding in a banquet hall ever again!” I would highly recommend The Bamboo Gallery to anyone looking to host a wedding or event in hidden...
