The product is great. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE ABSOLUTELY SUCKS!
When you spend 100s of dollars in 1 week with a business whose avg item costs 10 bucks, you would expect great customer service. You expect them to do what they say they will do and you expect to not be inconvenienced! And you definitely don't want to hear "I don't care [about your problem]" from some kid who doesn't do his job!
And apparently the only way to get their attention is to put it on social media. I expect a call from upper mgmt.
UPDATE: 5/9. So, I paid 60 bucks for an Easter basket to be sent to my daughter and roommates at college in Chicago. She never got it. I finally got a call from Todd, "VP" (of something) at this very small family owned company. After 45 minutes on the phone with Todd, he assured me he would replace it "with something nice" bc he "understood having daughters in college in another state".
To date, she hasn't received anything. I didn't even get a refund as I originally requested.
I give boxed chocolates to my family and my best customers, so Esther Price lost a very good customer. There are many other good chocolates out there but this was also very convenient as their corporate building is only 3 streets away. Very...
Read moreGreat chocolate candy made right on premises. Many different sizes and assortments to choose from. And if you can't find a preboxed assortment to your needs, they will customize one on the spot. Many other candy 'treats' available including jelly beans, assorted novelties, and long time favorites. One seasonal item is Bourbon chocolate covered cherries.(This is in addition to regular chocolate covered cherries). They also have small bags of 'rejects' that did not meet their quality standards. In addition there is a small section of greeting cards, and even a desk to fill them out at. In addition, there are seasonal items, for Christmas and Easter. Also, there is a small section of novelty , nick-nack items. They will also ship anywhere, and take mail / phone orders, if the weather is cool enough to ship chocolates. Parking is good. On really busy days, they have someone directing traffic in the lot. Store is 'accessible' with no steps, if you choose. They also are generous with samples. I have been going here for 40+ years. Never a...
Read moreHIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT SHOPPING HERE. Terrible customer service. My mother and I went shopping and she purchased an $18 picture frame as a wedding gift for me from the Wayne St store. Only problem was it was cracked on the backside and i didn’t notice until i was home admiring it. There was no box and it was wrapping in nothing but thin tissue paper. It then cracked on the front. I called the store and spoke to a call center rep who told me they would replace it since i had the receipt, but i had to go back to the store. So i drove an hour out of my way to the store. They did not replace it, the manager would not speak to me. The manager instead has the worker girl walk back and forth to communicate with me. Very aggravating. I called the customer service number again and spoke to Rachel Emerson. She said it is what it is; no replacement. Wasting my time and gas money. I would NOT recommend this store to anyone. They overcharge for clearly cheap-made items and terrible customer service. I would give them no stars if it...
