the bowl is a little slippery because of the graffiti but most of yall ain't Goin hard enough to really worry about that. bring your knee pads tho it has nice into vert transitions and pool ledge coping.. the gaps and earthquake gaps are nice to pull Nollie bigs and hard flips over like you own that mf.. plenty of speed and no dirt so the city (or someone) does a good job keeping the place clean.. graffiti is normal in sk8parks tbh, its part of the art of skateboarding. serious talk, people disgusted by graffiti should really choose another sport. put some stickers on your stupid tesla and live a little. 😀
the water view , breeze and gazebos are nice when taking a break from shredding ,cool place for your mom and gf to hang out and watch you eat concrete.. lots of covered benches and spectating areas (the skatepark itself could use some shade over the course for the riders) , but was nice...
Read moreThis is my go-to location for Hurricane sandbags. Although the lines were stretched all the way back to Ridgewood, we were able to get in and out within about 2 hrs. The process goes something like this: You'll pull into ANY parking spot Walk to the table where they're distributing empty bags (10 per person), Go to any sand pile Grab a shovel (if one is available-I highly recommend you bring your own), Fill your OWN bags, Tie them off, One of the city workers will drive up, Load the filled bags in the back of THEIR cart, Drive the bags to YOUR vehicle and Load them in YOUR vehicle for you. It's hard work. If you're older, bring help! These bags can weigh upwards of 20+ lbs each.
They also have additional help/resources for handicapped and medically challenged people...You'll need your placard. Good luck...

Always great sunsets out there. The reason I gave 4 Stars is because of the atrocious smell from the neighboring sewage plant (I know that's out of their control) but also, the bathrooms get locked WAY too early. I completely understand not wanting homeless people to camp out in there but the park is always active at night. I wish they would just lock them when the lights go out. We gotta piss behind palm trees that are in the...
