Budget Inn of Daytona Beach — Hotel in Daytona Beach

I made a reservation through a hotel booking website, when I arrived I let them know that I had a reservation. They had me fill out a sheet and they ran my credit card for a different amount. I didn't think much of it, figured the price dropped. I found out later that they didn't both to look for my reservation but gave me a different room than requested. It ended up being a smoking room. Although it wasn't what I wanted, it had a bigger bed and my husband was a smoker so it wasn't horrible - even though the smell was!

But they charged me twice! The time I came in and then for my reservation! Thankfully I called the hotel website and they were able to confirm my stay and the hotel is refunding me my other charge. But I think if the staff was to actually listen to me - none of this would have happened! They hardly talked to me at all. Just handed me a paper and gave me my key. They only said "can I help you?" and "your room number is _'

The room wasn't horrible. It was pretty clean. When we arrived the air hadn't been turned on so the smoke/musty smell was horrible. It was also very warm in there. We turned on the air and left for a while because it was so bad. The comforter had cigarette burns on them. The pillows were disgustingly small and lumpy. The sheets looked stained - like they had been sitting in smoke for so long not being washed. (not saying they weren't). I am thankful that I brought my own blanket because we would've been screwed. They didn't have but one tiny sheet on the bed.

They had a mini fridge that hardly got cold enough to keep a cold drink in. 2 tiny plastic cups but absolutely no way to get ice. The bathroom was very dated but clean. Although there was rust stains at the drain in the shower. The shower head needed replacement as it hardly had any water pressure and the stream of water was going in different directions.

If you are looking for a full service motel, then don't bother with this one. If you just want a place to crash, then this isn't a horrible place. Although I feel the price did not fit what you got at this place. I will personally never...

At first I thought it was a dump, but I decided to stay there for a couple of nights, it wasn’t bad, room was plain, nothing pretty about it, I really liked the comfort of the beds, almost reminds me of my bed at home, bathroom was standard, toilet didn’t work as well, it got plugged so reported it to the owner, he asked him nicely but he said he could fix it the next day, then we asked him not so nicely then he agreed, we went out for lunch and when we got back it was fixed, and there was tons of parking out front, one thing I didn’t like was the maids, To be as respectful as possible the one maid cleaning our room looked like a druggie, but then we bumped into her and she seemed nice, I see her hanging out at the corner at the corner of the hotel often smoking cigarettes, along with some other shady people, another thing, there is a LOT of bums in that area, if I were you I would lock my car during the night, make yourself not visible to expensive products, and keep your eyes open, when we were checking in, I saw a black guy in a bush looking at us. and lastly if you do decide to stay here and a lady is in the office, talk slowly to her because when I tried to check-in she seemed to not understand everything I was saying, I’m assuming English is not her first language which I don’t judge, the husband is...

This hotel is probably the best in the area. It isnt infested with bed bugs, junkies, or prostitutes. 😆 The management are very nice to us. The rooms are clean. The beds are great. The pillows are soft. It is definitly the hotel to go to if you are a respectable person who is just on a tight budget. They definitly care about their property and the rooms. My husband and I visit here a few times a week just to get away from the world for a night and to spend time together. We love it here! We have tried other hotels in the area and walked away with bed bug bites or just felt like we were in a dirty environment. Not at the budget inn! Even when you first go in the room it doesnt smell like years of drug abuse and sex have been happening in there. Even if it has, the hotel does a great job cleaning up! Thank you budget in!
