Decatur Shopping Center — Attraction in Decatur

I believe this older Shopping Center has a couple diamonds in the rough.. As in

"Blue Ribbon Shoes".. High End Shoes for men, women and children.. at unbelieveably low prices.. Come Fall they have Frye, UGG, BearPaw and other great names at a fraction of the price, also belts, jewelry, socks, sunglasses and so much more.. Summer Sandals are to die for.. lol.. I love this place..

"The 99 Cent Store" is at the opposite end.. Anything and Everything at such a savings it boggles the mind... A lot of Made in China goods and USA made too.. Clothing, Makeup, House Wears. Home decor... I can't remember it all.. A must see and browse place..

In the Middle is a Huge Thrift Store, Need...

There's only store wife and I go visit and it's the 99 cent store. They have air of things there and looks like most if not all is from china. Yes it's cheap stuff but sometimes you find a little jewel there hidden behind other stuff. Things are everywhere so it like a treasure hunt. For the homeowner use it'll get you by most the time it wouldn't hold up to everyday use. It's not a bad store I'll just say it's different. One word of caution, if you ladies are looking at clothes the sizes are for Chinese women and they run small, if your a say size 8/10 and you buy that size there you'd be lucky to even get it...

Decatur has so much potential for new and exciting places to shop but like this shopping center and along with several others, they are just desolate! I wonder if our city leaders and government really understand the depth of dissatisfaction that Decatur residents have with all of the past old outdated and dilapidated stores that we have to shop in? Maybe they don't want people to spend money here in Decatur and this why we still have all these empty run down...
