This store has a decent variety of consoles and games but I had three major problems when visiting the store. The first problem is their trade-in value. I went to trade in some refurbished consoles and they gave me $15 total for three of them and told me that both of them were worth about $40 each I was okay with that until I watched them put an $80 sticker on each one and sell them for $80. A sencond problem I have with this store is they have extremely expensive prices even when compared to GameStop. The third problem I had was with the staff I went in there on one of their sale days to look for PlayStation 3 games to buy and I was very excited because they had a 25% off discount making the games almost market price. When going into the store I had a girl with me and we went straight to the PlayStation 3 section as we passed by what seemed to be an employee on his phone taking inventory from what it looked like. Then the employee started to stare at us and the girl with me started to become very uncomfortable. I assured her that they were just taking inventory and not to worry about it but then the employee came up behind us and stood there and I kept reassuring her they were just taking inventory but as we were started walking around the store to get out of his way he just kept following us I'm not sure if he thought we were going to steal but I left the store immediately. I would definitely not recommend shopping here at all. Buying from GameStop or even off of eBay would be a much...
Read moreOwner was very pleasant, but the tech guy was definitely tired of dealing with me after I had to go there 4 times for 2 simple controller fixes... had two wavebirds, one with a drift and one with a sticky key. Took maybe a week or so to get them back the first time, took them home. Key still sticky, controller still drifting. Like he just took them and said yup they're done. Took them back and told them. Another week goes by. Get them back. Still sticky key, still drifting. Call and ask, get told they have no way to test them. (They had the dongles for them, and were selling a gamecube they could've used as i was beyond irritated at this point) so I got really pissed, being the third time, and brought my wii, the dongles, a game, and both controllers with the proper cords. Another two weeks ago by, finally get told they're done. Take them home. The drift was slightly better but still overly noticeable, key still sticky on the one, plus one of them doesnt even turn on anymore! Brought them back one more time, and get told that the tech guy is "just done with them" and doesnt want to work on them anymore. Very disappointed in this experience, as my controller still drifts, and the key on the other controller still sticks. Instead of spending $55 to get them fixed i would've just bought a new one if I knew that he was just "going to be done" with them and give up.... not really how a repair works.
Owner was super friendly though! Go there for him, not for...

Well first off the variety in games is just downright staggering. The general range of their games includes many different genres from many different eras, more than once have I found a game I absolutely loved for a reasonable price. Their selection in board games and tabletop games has steadily grown to the point where it is just as viable to enter the store to purchase a tabletop game (or resource such as paints) as it is to purchase a video game.
The condition of used games is something to mention as well, I have never had a case of a game not working after I purchased it from them (Something that has been an issue with several other stores I have bought from in the past.).
The customer service is astonishingly good... the employees at the GamesXP are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced. Their repair work and general knowledge of "How to work an Xbox" has helped me out on more than one occasion. All this, and they manage to maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere within the store itself, where you are just as welcome to shop as you are to engage in card games with your friends or other such niceness.
Do I recommend GamesXP? Yes, absolutely. They the most resourceful, honest, helpful, friendly gaming store I have ever...
