Denton Skate Park — Attraction in Denton

We're all really friendly so you don't have to worry about rude skaters. The skate park it fairly boring if you don't know how to do ramps or rails, so definitely not beginner friendly! But if you don't mind that, then it's honestly a great environment to skate in. We all help one another when needed, and we a lot of us will teach if asked. If you're looking for a high quality skate park, this ain't it lol but it's not horrible. There's 2 hand rails, one medium sized and one small flat bar, a hubba, pyramid, 2 nanny pads, 2 quarter pipes, a few other ramps, and a half pipe! No water fountains (it doesn't work) or...

I really like the mini ramp there! It's a bit slippery, though, and it gets really hot in the summer because it's all metal. There are small obstacles good for beginners learning to ollie and grind. For instance, there is a really short rail that's not hard to get on if you are trying to get familiar with board slides or 5050 grinds. Skated Denton park for the last 20 years and they have finally officially made it the worst it’s ever been. They took out all the transition, roll-ins, quarter pipes… pretty much everything but thankfully left the mini ramp. It’s very minimalist now and if I didn’t live so close I would never go to this park. It’s sad and I can only hope they will add to it in the future since there is so much open flat ground now. 1 star is actually...
