There is already a veritable library of negative reviews here, and I would like to preface this one by saying that I hold no ill will towards this location or the company, but something really needs to change about the Taco Bell hiring process.
As I have had to search for potential employees before, I know it isn't always practical to deep dive for the most "ideal candidate," as a menial job like fast food doesn't usually require much more than the ability to fog a mirror & speak basic English. That being said, I don't believe Taco Bell has done their due diligence in regards to finding people to fit these basic qualifications. I live close to this location, and due to the "food" that is commonly associated with the 'Taco Bell' brand, I don't usually consider it when I am looking for anything other than a late night snack, but I have ordered here roughly 8 times over the course of my year long residence.
In all 8 instances, there has been something wrong; Whether it be a missing order or the employees currently on duty couldn't read my order correctly, every time I have eaten here something has gone awry. That being said, I do understand that for food that cheap, I am seriously gambling with what I actually receive, and I normally just shrug it off.
After 8 out of 8 orders being amiss, I feel as though a negative review that details the unrivaled incompetence of the 'Loop 288 Taco Bell staff' is definitely warranted.
I am openly advocating for more attentive managers that can better control the "rambunctious" nature of the current staff. It honestly feels as though it is a bunch of children laughing and goofing off in the kitchen, and customers are just an after-thought.
I know I am not alone on this, as I see my exact sentiments echoed many times throughout this review section.
While your food is doomed to stay in the "Ugh, I guess we'll go there" category, your staff doesn't have to be nothing but immature students looking to make easy money. I will continue ordering from here, but I would appreciate some semblance of tact and professionalism within the...
Read moreUpdated: 6/26/25 . Still absolutely the worst place ever. Ordered a beefy burrito for our granddaughter along with other stuff and took it home. My granddaughter took a bite and was like yuk its all beans. So i take it back and said i ordered the beefy and handed it back at the window as asked and she took it and then told me it had beef and i argued that that was bean. But she says she will make another so i say then just hold the beans off of it. She refused to do so and said ill get it how i ordered it. I said i wanted her name and she refused and would not give me her name so i took her photo and am including it in this post. Do not eat at this location for its the worst place to ever go to.
Absolutely the worst service every on 10/22/23 at about 7pm at the North 288 store. I live a block from this store and have eaten here 1000 times since they opened this store. My girlfriend gets the same thing each time. Nacho Bell Grande. She always wants it separated and this night the guy says they can't. I ask since when and a female gets on speaker and says since always. I say I have ordered it everytime and here at this store and she tells me NO again. Would not serve what I asked for and have done 1000 times before. Not good service at all. Left and drove to another taco bell and got it served exactly how I wanted. There should be something done to prevent this again. Never have I had such horrible service here and makes me not...
Read moreI had a terrible experience at this Taco Bell on 08/13/2023. It was around 8:30 P.M. and we asked for 2 Doritos locos tacos. The guy proceeded to ask if we wanted them supreme or regular. Us not knowing the difference said regular. Once we got to the window to pay, I asked what the difference was between a regular and supreme taco. He told me the difference and I proceeded to ask if I can upgrade my tacos to supreme. He told us no because they were already made. Looking back, due to the horrible customer service in telling us "no" for something that could clearly be done, we should have just left and not gotten/paid for the food. However, we went ahead and asked if we could simply add a supreme taco to our order. Again, we were told no due to they do not accept orders made at the window. There was only one car behind us, and they were still ordering... There should have been no reason for either one of our requests to be denied.
Terrible, terrible customer service. I then asked to speak to the manager and they told me they only had shift leader there. I spoke to the shift leader named Bree, and she was absolutely no help. She just confirmed they were not going to accommodate either of the request, and was not very personable about it either.
I was honestly shocked that they treat their customers like this. Do yourself a favor, and go to a different Taco Bell...
