A great neighborhood park! Playground, swings, sandbox, small sitting gazebo, basketball court, tennis courts, baseball diamond, ~six picnic tables scattered around, simple workout station, and a paved 1/3 mile loop. This neighborhood park is very well maintained by the city, but there isn't a restroom. Lots of foot traffic, dogs (leash laws in effect), bunnies in the brush, and kids.

This is a very nice little neighborhood park. Especially for the ones who enjoy playing tennis but lately after late night a group of people come here for skating on tennis court and it’s damaging/destroying both the courts and nets. It’s really sad that they don’t seem to care and the park authority should take action seriously.

Nice local park, has portable public restrooms during the summer months. Running water drinking fountain either for ppl or furbabies. Mature trees & landscaping. Baseball diamond, usually see young kid teams playing Fri, Sat & Sunday. Lighted tennis courts. & Jungle gym for ppl with kids.

The park is a much different destination in a Colorado winter season, (or a day that mimics winter since the first day of the somstice is still weeks away), than when you go for a summer picnic. While it is pretty obvious there will be less people due to both students being in school, other elements affecr attendance. The frigid temperatures being most prevalent. The thing that bothers me about going to this, and many other parks that I frequent, is the lack of facilities during winter months. While it makes financial and even physical sense to close the pool djring winter hours, it lacks moral sense to close the reatroom facilities. Would the maintenance bill be higher during these winter months than summer ones? Possibly, and quite probable even. Bur is it citizens safety or the park administrators comfort that accounts for more weight? It is mighry uncomfortable to clean a restroom. Just as uncomfortable as say, having to GO for the half hour it will take you...

Pros: It's a great local park. There is a nice playground, tennis courts, a basketball court, and baseball diamond. There is a small hill that was insisted on by the person that donated the money for the park (I assume Harry but I don't know for sure this is neighborhood lore) so that kids had a place to learn to sled and ski. The hill and surrounding foliage is a great place to just sit and think. Also lots of friendly doggos with competent owners.

Cons: Sometimes racist graffiti shows up. The city is responsive about it. And there are just plain bad pet owners there who let the doggos off leash and then get mad when parents speak up about those dogs charging their kids. I'm a fan of off leash dogs because they're usually super friendly, but owners need to be fully responsible...

It's a great neighborhood park. If it were more popular, it might be a bit small, but I haven't found that to be a problem yet. There's a 1/3 mile concrete track if you want to run or walk and keep track of distance. There's a lot of open grass space, a lot of which is shaded by large, old trees. The playground is very popular with kids. The tennis and basketball courts seem to be in good space.

The biggest downside of this park as I see it is Hale Parkway right next to the edge. Some might find parking to be a problem due to the hospital across the street, but as a neighborhood park, I don't see that as a...
