Pixel (my 7 month old blue heeler) and I love this place!
We've been going to their Saturday puppy socialization class for a couple of months now, and it's really a fantastic class. We previously had been going to the socialization class for a very well respected and highly reviewed dog training organization in Denver. I won't mention that org by name because their staff really was wonderful, but I feel like the quality of their puppy socialization class pales in comparison to that of the Dog House.
The environment is much more comfortable than others I've experienced. Some puppy classes are held in cold, cement-floored buildings. Dog House's class has the indoor portion in a warmer and more comfortable main room. (I guess Dog House's class floor might technically be cement/concrete, but it's that kind of colorful, pixelated flooring that I you might see at a nautical center, as opposed to the cold, gray style I've seen at other pup classes.)
Additionally, Dog House provides A LOT more toys, tunnels, mats, and other pup accessories during the class than the previous org we attended. And, maybe my favorite part, Dog House has a really nice, enclosed outdoor area for the pups to run around and play in. After going to several classes here, it's clear that just about all of the dogs, not just Pixel, really like the Dog House outdoor area. It's got a lot of character to it, and also has some areas where quieter pups can relax away from the craziness, but also a fun little circle of rocks and grass that the pups love to do group "zoomies" around.
My Pixel is pretty shy, but I feel like many of the qualities of Dog House's puppy class have really helped her come out of her shell. This is probably just a bit of luck - but the people and pups that regularly attend our puppy class are also really nice!
Lastly, I won't mention her name because I don't know if she would want it published in an internet review, but the trainer who runs the Dog House puppy classes is fantastic! Very kind to her human clients and a wonderful companion and educator to her puppy clients! Pixel and I are so glad that we found this class, and will most likely keep attending every week we can make until she ages out!
VERY highly...
Read moreWe absolutely love Dog House Denver! Our two dogs- an 8-year-old lab and a 4-year-old collie mix- are regulars here, and we couldn’t be happier with the care they receive. The staff is always super friendly, and it’s clear they really care about the dogs. They always remember our dogs by name, which we really appreciate. We also love how checking in and checking out is always super fast, as that has not always been the case at other daycare facilities. When you are dealing with excited dogs, that efficiency is so key.
The facility is always clean and well-maintained, and we especially appreciate how they group the dogs by energy level rather than just size. This means our dogs get to interact with others that match their play style, which keeps them engaged, happy, and safe. After a full day of play, our dogs are always exhausted (in the best way), and they are SUPER excited to go back each time.
Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and fun...
Read moreThe best! The absolute best doggie daycare! I've taken my dogs to various daycare locations in the past that were okay/good. I drove by Dog House daily on my way to work, and we recently got a Newfoundland puppy. So we decided to give it a try. I love it. Newfie lovesssss it. He comes home so happy and sooo tired for 1.5 days (it's wonderful). It's very clean and they have webcams that you can check-in and see how things are going. I wish they had outside webcams, but inside is perfect. All the staff i've met is absolutely amazing and really care about the dogs and the place itself. Next I want to give the on-site groomers a try.
Also, I'm 99.9% sure that the people on here that gave low reviews are neighbors and are just angry that they live next to a dog daycare (there was one there before), and I'm sure having a doggie daycare is preferable to half of the things on...
