Rocky Mountain Lake Park — Attraction in Denver

This is a surprisingly clean space. I've noticed that there are a lot of places where you go and it's a wonderful time but there's glitter everywhere and it doesn't seem like anybody quite seems to care about whether or not there's glitter on the ground. However this is not one of those places. I am extremely happy to say that it was easy access for me and I'm wheelchair-bound. My children were able to enjoy the park without being harassed by other children. I loved the fact that the other parents were their parenting their children and not just sitting in a tree in the park which I have observed in a lot of parks. The parking here is really great. I'm extremely impressed with whoever is in charge. They definitely deserve a raise. Job...

I run around this lake on my lunch break about three times a week and have been doing so for the better part of three years. It is a nice retreat inside of the city but there are reminders all around you, such as I-70 that is just a fence away. The park is usually clean, but it is a public space so there is occasionally trash, etc. around the area. I have also come close to being caught in fishing line, chased and snapped at by dogs, and asked for the occasional spare change. I love this park, and have found it to be quite peaceful for a number of years! The views are nice, the location allows for abundant sunshine, and there's more than enough room to move around and get the much-needed exercise our bodies desire. The pond/lake adds a nice ambiance and attracts a bit of wildlife as well. This park makes a great spot for a picnic; it works nicely for a place to get some sunlight and fresh air; the location even lends itself to making for an ideal pit stop if one seeks to just get off of I-70 for a bit.
