Worst Motel 6 I've ever stayed at by far! Trash is routinely stacked up right next to elevator doors, homeless people camping out in guest laundry room on 3rd floor. Also homeless sleeping in corridor where the soda machines are on 1st and 2nd floors, in the stairwells and wherever else people can find to sleep. Motel staff do not enforce rules for guests/visitors/randoms to be courteous after 11pm. I had 3/4 of a load of laundry stolen out of the dryer and I knew better than to leave my stuff while a non paying guest was in the guest laundry room but I did. Praying they enjoy the clothes and that they needed them more than I did. One day while I was walking my dogs on their leashes and another guests pitbull (that wasn't on a leash) ran down hallway and around the corner and attacked my 12 year old mini dachshund INSIDE MY ROOM!! There's another dog, (stray I'm assuming) not on a leash running around the property while no employee or management took control to remedy the issue. Housekeeping is pretty much non-existent unless you hunt them down and beg to borrow a broom and mop, then they gave me a swifter mop handle (without the floor cleaning wipes) and gave me a couple rags and told me to use that to clean the floor in my room. Never offered trash bags, toilet paper, soap, towels or bed lines. I had to go ask for each item needed after 2 full weeks as a PAYING guest. We left our room as little as possible because we were constantly asked for cigarettes, money, drugs (which we do not do drugs at all) and etc each time we would step out our door. Honestly, this motel needs to be shut down and rehire all employees from housekeeping to management and clean up the property (metaphorically and literally). This motel should almost be full every night of the week per the prime location but this property has issues that need to be addressed and handled. If for no other reasons, to make your paying customers feel safe and respected.

I'm a big fan of Motel 6 in general, and the Motel 6 Downtown Denver was great. Yes, it could use a bit of sprucing up of the exterior floors, but the rest of the exterior was bright and cheerful: Bright white with orange trimming on the bottom edges of the balcony floors, with blue doors to the rooms -- the colors of the Colorado State flag. At the entrance there is a lovely painting of the Rockies and the letter C, again in the colors of the Colorado state flag. And the wall behind the beds in my room was painted in a dark orange, the color of the C in the flag. Little touches like that show the care the owners take to make the Motel 6 aesthetically pleasing in a simple, effective way, and to make this a Colorado Motel 6! My room was spacious, clean, and surprisingly quiet, given that the motel is only yards away from Route 70. The staff were friendly and helpful. Honestly, I would rather stay in a Motel 6 than in most fancy corporate hotels -- there's something just more down to earth about the place, relaxed...I feel like I can "disappear" for a while at a Motel 6! And...although Route 70 is not a great place to walk given the busy traffic, there are a number of nice, Denver-only places to get food, including McCoy's Family Restaurant, just across the parking lot, a real locale's place where I met the chef, a lovely guy...and a place to buy fresh donuts, Winchell's. Can't get THAT in NYC, where I live!

After dealing with a ton of human trafficking buses the entire week, drug addicts screaming and tearing apart the room next door, never answering the calls from the room because they're away from the desk overnight and caving in tub that's not sealed so it's compromising the foundation beneath it with a vent that doesnt have a fan.. I wasn't even going to complain, until a "worker" with a vape box thought it was ok to "check our (working) phone" without proper notice. So, I mentioned how if there was phone problems I'd like to know how I was able to talk to the front desk the day before and why they didn't return the calls I made before that. She just wanted to invade people's privacy, nothing to do with a phone because my phone connected and they could have called my room to do the check without just expecting to inspect our room. We did nothing wrong to deserve an extreme breech of privacy and I'm going to defend be reaching out for legal representation after that. I do not appreciate being harassed while being the only customer who wasn't acting a fool while staying there. This place was tiny, dirty, I swear I got bit by bed bugs there and I would never come back here again if I could help it. Horrible experience, please pay the extra money for an extended stay or something cuz this was just a nightmare. I'd rather sleep in the freezing temps in my vehicle than return here.

First and foremost this is a MOTEL not a HOTEL there is a difference! Also Denny's or Village Inn whatever it used to be, is no more. There is a Mexican Restaurant there instead.

Location wise; I'm born and raised in CO I moved to Nebraska. I came during the weekend for my niece's birthday. Bf and I stayed at this motel it is what it is. It was not the best motel. It is dirt cheap which fit our budget for such a short stay. Conveniently places to all the things including my niece's bday party and I-76 (just North of motel) and I-70 (literally right outside your door). With Hwy 6 being further south from the hotel just take Federal Blvd all the way down. Federal can be sketchy with a lot of homeless. Besides that traffic wasn't heavy or overwhelmed like it usually is. If I had to I probably wouldn't stay here again. Unless absolutely needed to.

Room wise; it was small not enough outlets considering that both my bf and I have cpap machines. Thankfully my sleep apnea is not extreme that I needed to use it. The rooms are not in a building they are outside so you have to drive to the room weather was kind during the times we had to leave our room. There was rain in the forecast for Denver, raining a lot on Saturday 08/02. Bf made it a point to state the room would be perfect for just a single traveler. There is no mini fridge, microwave. All hard flooring no carpet. Only 2 pillows which were extremely uncomfortable. The bed while clean are small and unforgiving if you should have back issues. As stated earlier it was decent for what its worth.

Service wise; it seems as long as your room is prepaid they are quite accommodating when it comes to late check ins. However, when getting key cards (checking in) the front desk lady seemed very curt. There is NO map of the grounds to find your room. So when she point at a random location of where to drive and find my room I was too worried to ask again for some clairvoyance. I'm sorry, but you're the one who chose a customer service role not me. I like to ask how people are doing, I say please and thank you. Unlike people you've encountered I didn't ask or want anything. Since we were staying for such a short time. But is it so much to want a little smile? Regardless there was no true interaction with front desk besides checking in and leaving.

All in all I do agree that the parking lot could and should be repaved (like the whole state of CO). Besides prepared there is a CRAP ton of construction going on in LOTS of parts of Colorado some I was like wow they're doing that now or ok thats still going on. If youre a native you know...

Upon my arrival in Denver, I made the decision to book a room at Motel 6, drawn by my previous positive experiences with the chain's affordable accommodations. However, my recent stay at this particular location turned out to be anything but pleasant.

Within just 48 hours of checking in, I encountered a series of concerning issues. Firstly, I discovered that the fridge in my room was leaking, leading to a considerable mess. Additionally, I was dismayed to find obvious lipstick stains on the pillowcase and remnants of long hair on the bed, which made me question the cleanliness of the linens. To add to my disappointment, there were only two towels provided for the entire duration of my stay, which proved to be quite inconvenient. Moreover, the bathtub had drainage problems, making it difficult to take a shower comfortably.

Furthermore, I experienced challenges with the Wi-Fi service, as it was changed without any prior notice. This forced me to walk down to the front desk to inquire about the issue, which was an unnecessary inconvenience. The issues didn't end there; I also encountered problems with the cable service.

The condition of the property's maintenance was also unsatisfactory. I found broken washing machines, which explained the shortage of towels, and even noticed loose screws on my door, making it difficult to close securely. This led me to believe that the property's management and maintenance were not up to par.

In addition to the issues with the facilities, I also observed signs of negligence in the treatment of the staff. It appeared that they were overworked and likely underpaid, which is a reflection of poor leadership. Despite my frustrations, it's important to note that I did not have any issues with the staff themselves; my concerns lie with the overall management and upkeep of the property.

Regrettably, this experience has left me with no choice but to refrain from booking at any Motel 6 in the future. I intend to bring these issues to the attention of the appropriate parties within the company, as there are clearly areas in need of...
