I haven’t written a review in a while and I figured I should write another one. I have been going to this nail salon for many many years now and normally I don’t stay with a nail salon for long because I always have bad experiences. This is the one salon that has been able to keep me coming back. Hannah is my nail tech and she is awesome. Hannah is a very hard working nail tech and always takes good care of me. She always treats me good and she always makes sure I leave happy and satisfied. She cares about her work and her clients and wants to make sure that we leave with a smile on our face. I live about 30-45 mins away from this place and I will make the drive to see Hannah because she is worth it. I don’t always take pictures of her work and I should because she does a great job? She always asks me what I want and to show her pictures and she does what I show her. I did take pictures of yesterdays nails and the 2 previous before yesterday and those are the ones I posted with this review. The ones with the blue color on them were the ones from months ago, the ones with blue black white silver lines on one hand and gold lines on the other hand were the ones before yesterday, the other ones that look so natural with the one finger design those were done yesterday. What I love is that Hannah pays attention to detail and she doesn’t rush she takes her time and makes sure that it all looks good. She does such an amazing job that I don’t have to go every 2 weeks which is nice because I wouldn’t be able to go back that soon with my busy schedule and being a mom of 5 kids and with not living close by. I have gone 4-6 weeks without going to have her do my rebase and they still look good like if I had just had them done. I always get compliments and when I tell people how long I’ve had them on for they are always surprised. I love Hannah she is the best and she also waxes my eyebrows, lip, & armpits. Sometimes my legs too if I don’t do it my self. Thank you Hannah you are the best and glad I found you and hope to have you as my tech for a really long time. Maria the owner of the salon is the best and cares about us as well and she was the very first person that ever did anything on me and because of her she is the reason I returned. Maria did my first pedicure and she specializes in people that have ingrown toe nails and she did such an amazing job and due to that, that is the reason I returned. Thank you as well Maria because you always want to make sure we are happy with our service. I recommend this nail salon 100%

Snappy Nails is a life saver!!! And Nina did excellent work redoing my entire dip set that had been done poorly by another salon!! I had my nails done at another salon on the 8th of Feb; dip set with extensions. 6 days later I had tips of my nails popping off!!! I went in THREE times in a three day period to have them fix it but today was the last straw; I had two more nails pop off after just getting two others repaired yesterday. It was time to find a new salon and I came across Snappy Nails and Spa! The reviews as well as the client pictures! Nina was a name that was brought up a lot in the reviews so I made my appointment with her. When I went, I was lucky that it wasn't busy; reviews did mention that it could be busy! Nina handed me a huge selection of colors to choose from!!! My old salon did not have such a thing! Also she did ombre with the color I selected! Let me tell you that it was something that I had always wanted to have done but I old salon told me that they didn't do that. Snappy Nails does and that made me so happy. The one thing that really made my day was that Nina cleaned up under the nail extension, filing it down and making it smooth! My old nail salon NEVER did that which made my nails look too thick and fake! That attention to detail sold me! I highly recommend Snappy Nails and I highly recommend that you request Nina for her excellent work!!

I went here for my first ever salon manicure/pedicure. I looked at the prices and reviews and decided to book an appointment. I received a pedicure with a hot wax treatment and regular polish (not shellac/gel) and a VERY quick gel/shellac manicure (just filed my natural nails and painted them, nothing else). I paid $73 for this, plus a tip. Within 5 days 3 of my nails were chipped badly. Two days after that, 7 of my nails had the polish peeling all the way off or chipped. I was encouraged by a friend to go back and see if they'd be willing to "fix" them since it had only been 7 or 8 days since I had them done. They fixed the 7 that were chipping/peeling but left the other 3 nails how they were. There was no charge which I appreciate and tipped for again (it was a different nail tech this time). Well, 4 days later and the 3 nails they didn't redo have completely peeled off and 2 of the ones they did fix are peeling. I don't do THAT much with my hands. I'm not sure if the polish wasn't setting long enough or what happened. All in all I've spent a total of $100 and my nails are damaged and have barely any polish left on them. This is definitely a frustrating first time experience at a salon and I don't think I'll be back. I appreciate them trying to make it right, but for the same thing to happen again and to not correct all of the nails seems strange.

I’m pretty upset. Awhile back I tried to get them to put simple designs on my nails, just straight lines in silver. The person who did that didn’t know how, and I asked her to take off the silver lines and just finish without them. They were sloppy. She got in an argument with other salon employee and everyone was staring at me. They ended up having someone else finish the designs, so I decided to come back. I’ve been back a few times and there are usually problems like sloppy finishing but nothing that would merit a bad review until today. I brought a picture to show them. I wanted ombre glitter on two of the nails on each hand, and for the polish on those fingers a lighter shade of purple to complement the dark blue of the other nails. Manicurist 1 - who had cut my toes twice during the pedicure - somehow lost the color I picked and chose to paint them pink instead after telling me they didn’t have the original color I chose. She was the one who recommended it! Then, she tried to do the ombre but clearly didn’t know how, she just sprinkled glitter all over my nails and asked me if this was okay. It wasn’t. I asked her to please just take the glitter off and finish without any. Cue the other woman - the same woman from the last time - coming over, and the two of them once again argued about it while everyone stared at me. It was so awkward I wanted to leave right then, but Manicurist 2 asked if I was okay with just some silver glitter and I said fine. At this point I had been there for over two hours. Manicurist 2 “tried” to do a silver ombre but it was inconsistent and not done well and you can see on one of my hands where she just gave up. It’s sloppy, it’s not even close to what I asked. Plus, there are blue swirls on the nails that were supposed to be not-blue, there is polish still everywhere on my cuticles, two of my nails are ragged, and she cut the cuticle of my left pointer finger so badly that it’s still bleeding. By the time I had been there 2.5 hours I no longer had time for the waxing I booked. I will count that as a good thing and stick with Waxing the City. They told me they didn’t charge for the design as if that makes it better but I honestly did not want to pay for the mani at all because I now have to pay to have ut fixed elsewhere. Still tipped though because I’m not as much of a Karen as this makes me seem. Honestly this place is great for pedicure and super simple nails, and once Tri gave me great gold flake nails. But if you are looking for anything other than one color make sure you get him or there’s one other person but I don’t know her name. Overall avoid this place for designs or ombres because if you say you don’t like something be prepared for the entire salon to stare at you while the staff argues about it. Many of them aren’t trained in design work but they WON’T tell you that beforehand and they WILL embarrass you, even if you’re quiet and ask nicely just to leave your nails plain. I have given this place enough chances and even though Zenails in Lakewood is super far away from me I will start going back there because I can be sure I’ll get what I pay for or at least be told if what I want...

Done with this place, my women of color , my opinion is take your money to Aurora because we are not treated accordingly in North Denver.

  • I’m not sure of any other way to respond to the business but in response to this business is as followed ::::: That is pure bologna… I have watched how your associates treated me verses how others were treated in your salon. I have sat for long periods of times and waited for water to be placed in my pedicure bowl while white or Hispanic women come in and immediately get water for their feet!! I’ve been a regular at this salon before my final review so don’t go there saying everyone get VIP treatment! I’ve tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt but my eyes are wide open to see the discrimination of this place and every other establishment in this surroundings area! Let’s be clear?! There’s no diversity at all in North Denver! As a minority I live every day of my life treated a particular way, so don’t insult my intelligence. All I ask is to be serviced fairly, I have the same cash in my hand as every other woman in your salon ! More so, you shouldn’t have services listed that you don’t offer. I noticed how your associates treated me that day by adding extra payment and speaking bad about me in your language. I had my iPhone translator on the entire time while you all were talking and could’ve exposed the harsh things you all said about me but I didn’t take it there. I have bigger fish to fry lady, You also made your associate add on extra $5 for every little detail of service that day which was uncalled for after I listed my review of your business while my feet were still drying, but hey it’s your business you can do as you please , ppl don’t care about what I have to say anyway right ? They still come in for their dip powder manicures and pedicures which your so accustomed too— lastly I hope the African American who left her diamond ring 💍 that day was able to get her property returned to her, you all seemed a bit apprehensive when I reported it. I’m a business owner as well and this place is certainly unethical. Take care no...
