10/5 Best Food Ever 😊! We have had every single meal delivery service available: from the box subscription kits to premade (local) meals. My husband and I are business owners. At the end of the day, the last thing we want to do is cook. (We've even looked into hiring a chef). Then, I found an article (in Westword maybe?) with a list of the best meal delivery services in the metro area. We have tried 3 so far. Spicy Radish is HANDS DOWN the best quality, and the meals have unbelievable flavors. (Desserts are wonderful, too.) My husband said at dinner tonight, "This is like having our own personal chef". It is! We have been amazed that the reheating instructions are dead-on. I was concerned that the meats would be dry (as is what happened with other services), but they are juicy and perfect. The variety of meals and proteins are enough to please everyone in the house. My only problem is that I'm a picky eater (no red meat, pork, etc), so I can only order 2-3 meals per week. Otherwise, I'd order one for every night of the week. As for communication, I have only had to contact them once (because of my own error), and they were very prompt and fixed my mistake immediately. Finally, meal presentation and delivery is top notch. I will try to remember to post a picture of how the meals are delivered. Food is packed nicely, and we have always had all ingredients/meals. Not one mistake. I could go on and on about Spicy Radish, but I recommend that you try it. There are no subscriptions (BIG BONUS for me), so you can just order what you want,...
Read moreDecided to try due to all the great reviews and was underwhelmed.
Had their enchilada pie delivered a few weeks ago as well as some cheddar jalapeño bread. The bread was fine but nothing special and pricey for what it was. The enchilada casserole was completely tasteless. High quality meat but NO seasoning at all. I know that they have appease a number of tastes in their service but it would be beneficial if there was any kind of seasoning at all. There was nothing, not even in the sauce. Ended up adding salsa and spices to give it flavor.
Was also unimpressed with the delivery. Per instructions I left a cooler outside with plenty of ice packs. The delivery was dropped on my front porch, the cooler ignored, and they put it in front of my door so I couldn't even get out of my house. I have alley access and had to go into the alley and walk around half the block just to pick up my delivery as I couldn't open my front door since they blocked it.
Overall underwhelmed with the service and the food. For $55 for three items I would expect better. 2 stars instead of 1 as their food does use decent quality ingredients and excellent delivery...
Read moreOh my goodness they are so good. We live just outside of Boulder and we still received delivery. The food is amazing. It tastes really good and is high quality. The packaging is excellent - as reusable and compostable as possible given the contents. The garnishes were nicely separated so that we could add them to taste. The delivery was great - the driver avoided our poor driveway and just walked to the door. She took a photo so it was clear where they were and knocked so we could get it immediately. I love the GPS tracking so we knew exactly when it would arrive.
Back to the food. We had Butternut Squash Soup, the Hand Pie, Chicken Bean Chili and a Holiday Box of cookies. The chili had a great flavour and was relatively mild - perfect for us to add our own seasoning. The soup was incredibly smooth and tasty. I've had one of the cookies so far - a delightfully spicy ginger...
