I unfortunately did not have a good experience with La petite 2 weeks ago, On 8/7/25 I placed an order via their clover online pick up for a cake to be ready at 4:15pm for the date of 8/8/25. I work in Aurora so the commute to Lakewood took a bit of time due to traffic to arrive to the bakery. I arrived around 6:00 pm to pick up the cake, the person who attended me was very kind and mentioned that she did not have the cake ready. I had to wait an additional time for it to be ready, given that maybe their online system didn’t push my order through I was understanding of this. Once my cake was finished it came out beautiful, now given that this as a rushed cake order, the cake unfortunately fell apart on the drive home. Now I can say this may be me rushing to get home but honestly given that the cake did not have time to rest before it was done I feel like this could’ve been prevented.
I write this review because I never got my refund as I requested I paid for $60 and for a cake to not be ready on time and for it to fall apart just doesn’t seem like good customer service. I had called and spoken to the person who helped me and mentioned she would have her manager contact me. Well it’s been 2 weeks and I haven’t heard anyone trying to reach out. I’m really disappointed I wanted to love this place as I’ve purchased here before but unfortunately I will not be giving my support due to the lack of communication of this business, here are the photos for references. If ordering online I would definitely advise to make sure that they’re working on your order and not have this happen to someone who has a big...
Read moreI simply love this place! The owners are the most genuinely sweet people and really take great pride in their work. I found this bakery after calling around to about 10 other bakeries in the Denver area regarding my wedding cake. I wanted a two tier simple tiramisu cake large enough to feed about 130 people - apparently tiramisu wedding cakes are unheard of here in Denver because every single bakery I called said it wasn’t able to be done - even Whole Foods and authentic Italian bakeries said they couldn’t do it, they could only do sheet pan style tiramisu. I discovered this bakery because I am a regular at the dim sum restaurant right next door - I gave them a call and the lady was so nice and willing to work with me! They made a DELICIOUS and beautiful simple tiramisu cake for my wedding and gave me a fair and decent price for it too! They made the cake and I put the fruit on it myself - I didn’t want anything elaborate as we were just doing a low key food truck wedding. But I bet they could have made it extra fancy and decorative if I had asked for it. Literally everyone at my wedding that had cake said it was some of the best tiramisu they have had! I love going back to this place and getting their mini tiramisu cakes and fruit tarts - they are SO good....
Read moreThis is not an authentic French bakery. It is simply an Asian-influenced shop to match the Asian-influenced area it's in. We walked in and 3 people behind the counter looked at us and kept working. After 8 minutes of standing there without being acknowledged, we flagged one person down who smiled and held a finger up as if he'd be with us in a minute, then disappeared to the kitchen. A woman making boba tea finally finished making two, fanned us out the way to give the teas to the people who ordered. She looked at us and said "wait." Then preceded to begin making more teas. We only wanted to buy a cheese croissant, and that would've taken less than 2 minutes to grab out the case and swipe our card so we could leave, but no. Instead, it seemed more productive to her to keep making teas that take about 10 minutes to make. After standing there for 15 minutes with no one batting an eye our way, we left. Clearly don't want/need our business. As someone who's been to Paris, I think they actually saved us the money and disappointment from whatever they were attempting...
