Las Tortugas Alameda — Restaurant in Denver

Well, I don't know what happened with this bussiness. I stopped for a long time eating this tortas, and I remember they used to be really good, it really reminded me to México city. But I ordered la torta hawaiiana and it looks like they are trying to save some money, now they cut the chuleta like a slice of Ham, la torta looks so thin, and now it's flavorless. My husband is American so I was excited to show him how good the tortas were over there, but also the one that he ordered, completly flavorless and thin. So we gave a second chance... and same thing, thin and flavorless.

So we gave a third chance, and we ordered different tortas on the menú, we actually ordered La Cubana, that it's suppost to be flavorful because it has a lot of ingredients... and it was flavorless too. So that was it, no more Las Tortugas for us.

I don't know how good are the other branches they have... but here, they are not what they used to be anymore. SAD!

I recommend you all to go instead to Las Tortas in front of La Embajada Mexicana. They are so much better and a lot of flavor ( at least La tejana and La Norteña are good ) those are the ones I've...

Totally dissatisfying! Tortas are expensive and for the quality and price, it is not worth it. They do not provide sauces (chipotle sauce on the side as before) and if you ask, they give you that bad look. Service was not ok, they close ate 10pm and it was 9pm when we ordered and we were not allowed to eat inside the place, they just said “to go” only. We were hungry and tired but we wanted to eat inside but they didn’t let us without any reason. Torta cubana was missing mayo and eggs. It is supposed to be the bigger one and complete for the menu but it was a total deception since the quality and size had gone downhill totally. They have terrible customer service. My bf went in today and the front counter lady allowed someone to steal his order that was already paid for. They looked through receipts because they didn't believe him and they realized he was right after he had been there 45 minutes. They remade the food and stated they would give him a free drink for his troubles and then turned around and wanted to charge him for the drink when he was leaving. They also must have new cooks and staff, because we used to love to eat there and would go often and after today we'll never eat there again. The tomatoes they put in our tortas were bad and made us sick. It's sad because this was my go to place and now...
