Update february 2024. Charged 20% of gratuity!
My husband and I went after months to eat some tacos here. We were charged 20% of gratuity without letting us know.
The law in colorado says that you should let the costumer know that you will charge the gratuity in the menu or somewhere before we pay.
I know how is to work by tips and I worked in a high class restaurant before, and I agree to add the 20% of gratuity when you are a server because there's people SO cheap that would leave a dollar in a bill of $ 400 when they are SO needy and even like that, we weren't allow to charge the gratuity.
What I don't agree is that a taqueria, is charging 20 % of tips when you don't even have a server. You pick up your food by yourself, your drink, you pay in the front and you even pick up your dirty dishes and bring them to the trash can, and you don't have someone asking you if you need more water.
This is absolutely NOT RIGHT!. Plus the new lady in front it's not as nicer as the other one in the past, Vanessa was her name I think.
People be aware of this, because now it's a luxury going to eat tacos at this taqueria, when it's not a gourmet tacos, it's just street tacos!
I hope I can have an explanation about why are they doing this now, and where is the law to look up for it where it says that you can do this now?! I'm changing my stars because you didn’t let us know about the gratuity. Good tacos...
Read moreI found these guys on the internet. They are a little pricey as reported by other patrons, but they have a large menu with a vast array of foods that were unique to me. I have heard that Hispanic cultures do not waste any part of an animal that is slaughtered - and I can believe that after viewing their menu. The toppings for their tacos are also vast. Lots of different salsas and garnishes. The vegetables in them appeared very fresh. Fresh produce and labor cost to prep those items costs money. Most restaurants who serve carnitas tacos garnish with onion, cilantro, and lime only. I can appreciate why a carnitas taco was $3.49. My large bottle of Mexican coke was $4.25 which is a little more expensive than other restaurants I have been in; but eating out today is not cheap anywhere anymore. The food was hot and tasted fresh, and good. Service was excellent. I received my food very quickly after ordering. There was a man there who had a good command of English - so that helped me as an English speaker. The menu is posted in both Spanish and English. Employees were...
Read moreThis place is ok.. not so crazy about it. The prices are kinda high for it just being a fast food restaurant. And even then thats too pricey. Since actual quality mex restaurants dont sell their food at high prices. For example if u go to a nice restaurant and get a torta youll get it with fries with your choice of meat and pay around $5.50 to $6.50 depending on the meat variety u choose. And at this place for a torta you pay $13 and thats for the cheapest one which is ham now if u want beef meat on it its more. And u just get the torta and thats all no fries. I truly was baffled by their prices. I truly was dissapointed with the service then u get home and realize your order was all wrong, and what they got right just truly was not worth the price in my own personal opinion. Trust me if the food was worth the prices I would not mind at all, but when other places have better quality of food at a lower price when its a nicer restaurant u truly wonder how thats possible. 🤔Thats like if u were getting pizza hut prices at lil ceasers. 🤷♀️ this is just my personal opinion...
