Disgusted does not begin to describe my feelings for this establishment. You do not even deserve one star. Today was the first and last time I will go there. I needed to get some last minute goodies for my daughter’s preschool teachers. A local mom’s Facebook group suggested this store.

I popped in this afternoon and while shopping, there was a toddler having a moment, as all toddlers do. The woman who worked there approached the mother of the crying child and to my surprise, began berating this woman who clearly was in need of compassion in that moment. The worker was ripping her apart as a mother.

As if this wasn’t bad enough, the worker then began to use profanity towards the mother of the child because the mother began to defend herself. It’s the holidays and we are all struggling to accomplish it all.

I am the mother of a child with behavioral issues and I have had my own difficulties in public with insensitive and cruel people. There were no issues with this little girl other than the fact that she was having a little tantrum.

Witnessing this incident and the lack of sensitivity behind it broke my heart as a parent who struggles in public at times. My child was not involved in this cruel and nasty exchange, however I can 100% guarantee I will never return to this heartless establishment as they have absolutely no tolerance for young children. I would not run the risk of someone treating me or my child the way that woman and her baby were...

My daughter ordered two cake toppers totalling $66 for my grand-daughters 16th birthday party which is this weekend. This company not only ripped my daughter off by not sending the toppers so my poor disabled daughter could make her daughters party special for her daughter, but then did not even have the decency to refund my daughters $66 back to her. My daughter ordered those cake toppers last September when she became critically ill, planning her party in plenty a time in case something were to happen to her. So if you really want to have your order make sure you have your order for your someone special or from another company. My daughter sent them numerous emails asking where the cake toppers were and why the company never responded, but thought they were entitled to the money is beyond me. The only reason for one star is because I could not even post without a star they deserve a negative...

One of the top reasons why Denville is such a special place. Can you think of another town that has a movie theatre turned candy store?! Straight out of Willy Wonka, truly. But it's also much more than a candy store. If you're looking for a gift for someone, this is the place to go. Every inch is filled with unique items to fit every age and personality. And the CHOCOLATE. is the best you'll ever have. The chocolatiers are right upstairs making it, and you can smell it wafting down the minute you walk in. I have been going to Sweet Expressions since I was little, when it was a tiny half storefront down the street. Even then, it was a special place, and that is a testament to the women who work there.
