Wonderful community resource, worth every penny the town spends on it. I am a mother (in a power wheelchair) and go to this library about once a week with my two kids ages 10 and 11.
Upstairs the circulation desk folks are friendly and knowledgeable, downstairs the children’s library has tons of books, games, pretend play, and educational resources. The children’s librarians are excited and very approachable for everyone. It is a great place to let your kids spread their wings.
Things I love: Unique Items (metal detectors, portable CD players, board games, guitars, and many more!) Variety and selection of media. Diversity of patrons. Summer reading programs. No late fees, no limit to checked items. Museum passes.
FYIs: If you need adaptive assistance the bathrooms are a good size but the hallways and doors feel narrow and do not have a push pad to auto open the doors (the entrances and exits do.) Library stools are scattered throughout the stacks and you may need assistance moving them in narrow...
