Blue House Derry — Restaurant in Derry

I have been a faithful customer we order just about every weekend Friday & Saturday, we spend OVER $80.00, we usually have good food and when we pick up we we're treated well.. I have had to call more times then none to complain about the steak tip sub "which is usually amazing" it's been happening a lot more lately we will get it and the sub roll is drenched in the grease oil from the steak tip and it's not able to be eaten bc it's disgusting, the wax paper they put around is completely COVERED & ALSO DRENCHED in this nasty grease, well tonight it happen AGAIN he couldn't eat it bc it was so gross AND it leaked all over the top of my sons chicken tender plate n inside all over his dinner too!!! So I call his wife "I'm assuming" lied to me and said he wasn't there n I could talk to her or leave a message well I got as far as saying ok n she HUNG UP ON ME, I called back it wouldn't let my call go thru bc they say they have ONE line "which now supposedly they have another line which I know is a lie also bc they have told us they only have ONE, well I get thru n she hung up on me AGAIN!!! Now I'm upset, I call for a 3RD TIME n the owner ACTUALLY picks up and I TRY TO EXPLAIN MYSELF N HE JUST KEEPS TALKING OVER ME I asked idk how MANY TIMES for him to STOP so I could talk n every time he kept speaking over me being so completely rude and unprofessional, well if his wife would of actually been professional the FIRST TWO TIMES I CALLED n LISTEN to me he wouldn't of ASSUMED what my complaint was, he kept saying we always call we shouldn't order that sub I told him that's not true it's not ALWAYS n half the time I don't even call them n complain!! To make this long story end, he got me so upset made my anxiety so bad it caused a chest pain, I didn't get anywhere and I'm completely dissatisfied n really upset bc we LIKED going there!!! The OWNER & HIS WIFE we're so UNPROFESSIONAL and IMMATURE!!! They just can't seem to cook their food the right way!!! So long story short (SORRY) my husband threw out his nasty sub n is now sick in the bathroom from it and my oldest son couldn't eat his chicken tender plate bc the top of the container and INSIDE was covered in the oils from the steak tip!! I finally was so upset and done listening to his lies and excuses I told him to credit my account n IF WE CHOOSE to go back which is HIGHLY unlikely!!! Talk about so damn unprofessional!!!! When you spend at least over $100 almost every weekend or every other weekend add that amount up a month!!! you EXPECT the food to be made correctly bagged and packed properly... Not at Blue House!!!! So sad they lost a faithful customer and we know so many people here in Derry that they will also not go to them either, now they lost a lot of business I hope they're happy because we're not!!!! Sorry this is so long I am so upset and disgusted!!!!! My family and I wanted to try something new and have delivery since the weather was horrible. When I first looked at their website, they didn't specify the sizing of the pizza. Confused, I called the place where a lady told me that the pizza I requested was about 20 INCHES and had 16 SLICES. After a moment of deciding with my family, we agreed to have 2 pizzas delivered to my home. The lady then told me that I had to wait over an hour for the food to be delivered, which made my children and I quite frustrated. It didn't make any sense because we are local from this place.

We patiently waited as the man arrived AN HOUR AND A HALF later with two NORMAL sized pizza boxes. A 20-inch pizza is not going to fit inside of a NORMAL SIZED pizza box. I opened the box to find a pizza that is roughly 14 INCHES and had 8 SLICES. I called the place back and yelled at the employee for LYING to my family and I about the pizza.

We also realized that the food was COLD like it was sitting out for a while. The food was TASTELESS, no flavor at all even with the toppings I ordered on the pizza. The sauce was NONEXISTENT and it honestly felt like a chore to finish the food. And my children and I weren't even full afterward because she LIED about the pizza is about 20 inches. I ended up getting my money back, but I will never go back...

I really like the food here it’s delicious and hot. Today I ordered a cheese pizza and steak and cheese for pick up over the phone. The girl told me 25 minutes and when I asked if she said 25 to clarify she hung up on me. So I went over there about 30 minutes later and told them my name. The older woman was nice and said it’ll be a few more minutes. So I wanted another 20 minutes and saw about 4 people who came in after me get their food and leave and another woman was told she was only waiting on some chicken tenders. So I asked if they knew what I was waiting on and the nice lady said oh it’ll be another minute and the girl who hung up on the phone on me very rudely told me “your food will be out when it’s ready.” Which like yes okay but there’s really no need to be rude like that I was just confused. I work in customer service I know how it is but I just wasn’t ready to be spoken...
