We were intentionally misled by Office Depot with the clear purpose of sabotaging our deadline. I've been a customer of this Office Depot for many years. Recently I need a couple of printing projects done for an ancestor heritage group I am in. I needed the projects done by this upcoming Friday. Naturally, I thought this Office Depot store would help. I stopped by and discussed this with Hanna on Monday. She assured me it could be done. I went back on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Wednesday, I took a friend who ordered a project for the same activity. I was promised my project would be completed the next day. I received a call that night that they could not do the project to acceptable standards. This left me with two days to find an alternative. A local printer stepped in and accomplished this with a better-quality product. Lesson 1 was learned. Friday, at about 12, I received a call from my friend. He wanted me to see Hanna and pick up his project. She had promised them that morning. When I arrived, Hanna said she could not give me time for them to be completed. This is not what she had said earlier. She did not elaborate any further. This was unlike the person I knew from earlier in the week. She knew very well what my deadline was. By this time, we had spent several hours at the printing counter with this project. We knew the policies and the capabilities of the business. This is totally unacceptable. This was lesson 2. I asked to speak to the manager, of course. This person did not have a name tag stating he was anything but another employee. The guy who said he was the manager I have observed during the week. If he was the manager, no wonder the business would be run like this. He did not appear to have speech capabilities. He had trouble talking. He also told me earlier in the week that he had turned off the phone so they did not answer them. I have elevated this to corporate headquarters. Others need to be aware of the deceptive practices, unprofessional conduct, and the lack of interest in local activities. There are other businesses in the area that do not operate this way. These businesses should be rewarded for their professionalism. They should be the ones you go to. Office Depot clearly does not deserve the loyalty of past customers. Since they clearly do not return it as one would expect. Please consider my experience before you do further business with this box store.
Since I posted this, the below email was posted by somebody stating they were from Office Depot. This is the first time that anyone from that corporation has made any attempt to address their problem in this store. Even here, they want to have "more information". They have never tried to contact...
Read moreI went in for print services. The young man that always helps me asked me to wait at the copier. Then this tall black guy, said he was the manager, attempted to help me. NEVER saw him before in this store!! I told him I come in all the time to this store and buy my printer ocartridges here. This so called manager was rude and talked down to me in front of other customers. Maybe he doesn't like older, white women!! I was very embarrassed. He said in the future I would have to buy a gift card for a 25 cents amount to use the printer to send email. I called the corporate office and I am still waiting to speak to someone, on hold now over 15 minutes. So far no help. Another lady just answered the on hold call and I repeated my complaint again. She told me she can't contact the corporate office???? So she is taking my statement and said someone would call me....
Read moreNot a good experience today. Although Timothy was tech savvy, he was not a good listener. We specifically asked to transfer data from old computer which was "fried" by a power surge and he told us it would take an hour. When we called back an hour and a half later we were told it would take 4 hours more! We wasted time trying to wait so we did not have to drive another 70 miles to pick up the new computer. Spoke to the manager Kendell and explained the problem. Returned to the store and Manager Jeremy refunded the charge. We we're extremely dissatisfied with customer service today. Since this was over a $500.00 purchase, it was apparently more important to wait on other customers, than to service existing customers, in my...
