The event space is beautiful as long as you can overlook the overgrown vines and broken fence. The outside space and inside space of the Boiler room have a lot of character and make beautiful pictures. We really enjoyed the bridal suite. The event staff leaves a lot to be desired. Shenoa could not offer any suggestions on how to set up the event space in the Boiler room. There were portions of the contract she could not explain. She couldn't remember details we had given several times about the ceremony and event space during each phone call or interaction. They don't have a "plan b" option for rain if you plan to get married outside, nor are they willing to help come up with a "plan b". We had to pay $150.00 to book the event space for 1 hour rehearsal (Literally mapping where to walk and to try and check the sound system-no rehearsal dinner or event taking place). I asked Shenoa if one of the kids at the rehearsal could have an individual apple juice in the fridge. She told me she couldn't give me the juice for free. Free? If we are paying for the rehearsal space and $3,500 for the wedding, I don't think one bottle of apple juice is free. It would have been good guest service to let that little boy have the apple juice. In addition, it would have been a simple and nice gesture to have bottles of water there or something similar. Doesn't take much to offer service. Bonnie was onsite the day of the wedding. We only saw her at the beginning of set up. We had to call her to come back to turn on the patio lights that we needed for the evening wedding. We didn't see her again until the end of the night when she asked me to empty the large trashcans in the venue and take the trash to the dumpster. I am in the service industry and I would never ask a paying guest to empty their own trashcans. That should have been the responsibility of the venue or the caterer. Overall, I would recommend the space for the esthetics but only if you don't mind having below...
Read moreMy husband & I got married at this venue on Saturday, 03/17/2018. We booked the venue in May of 2017 (some of the space was still under construction in May).
There is two places to have your wedding/event. One holds 200 and the other holds 500. We chose the smaller one that holds 200 people. There was enough room to dance and for 150-170 guests to walk around, take pictures, and have conversations. We had a 4 person band that looked good on stage and had enough space to pay their sets. The bridal suite is amazing (with some set backs). There’s three rooms (including a bathroom): one to get ready in and has a full bar with a huge mirror and 5 chairs and another length wise mirror with a salon chair for the bride to get her hair done, one room with two antique sofas and two huge mirrors and the last room is for making mimosas with a mini bar and one 4 person table. The bathroom had no mirror and the shower had a broken door and only cold water, but I liked that it was there. The kitchen was big enough to get the cake ready and for the caterer to work as well. I liked the rustic vibe...
Read moreWindmill Station is a beautiful location; however, they are very unorganized, and unfortunately based on our experience there is a chance you will not have a smooth day particularly if you if they have booked two events at the same time. Sadly, in this scenario, Bonnie made some very poor choices with her client that impacted our event. It is extremely heartbreaking that a venue this beautiful comes with so many concerns and issues. It is my hope that they iron out management issues and future events will be happier with their outcome than we were. Additionally, the liquor prices were astronomical. They charge around $132 for a liter of Tito’s which in the ABC will cost...
