I was so excited to come in for the first time... my mom who has been in the nursery business for over 8 years came with me to help me pick out over $700 worth of trees and shrubs. We decided to hold off on a couple items but went ahead with over $500 worth of items. The help in the nursery section was top notch. However when we went to check out and Vivian was extremely rude but we chalked it up to a bad day? Scheduled for delivery and went about our day. After getting home my mom called back to place an order or the additional items we were going to hold off on. Vivian answered the phone was extremely rude, my mother had the phone on speaker and i asked to speak to a manager... she told my mother she was extremely busy and hung up. I called back and asked to speak to a manager. Vivian said she has just talked to me that a manager wasn’t available and hung up. So I got in my car drove 20 mins back to the store and asked to speak to a manager. Jennifer Wannamaker was the manager I spoke with. She made up every excuse in the book... it’s a new phone system she didn’t hang up on you, when I explained what happen she said oh she’s had some health issues... while I am normally a compassionate person... if you’re working in customer service you need to leave your bad day at the door. As the manager with the name on the door Jennifer should have apologized for our experience, explained that this isn’t how they normally do business and ask how she could make it better. I wasn’t looking for a discount, or excuses. I was looking for an apology. We were treated poorly and that isn’t okay. I understand it’s a busy place. If you want to continue being so busy offer some courses to your staff and management on customer service. I would not recommend this...
   Read moreWe recently had our patio redone and we really wanted to invest in our patio furniture. We visited a few places but nothing really caught my eye - until I walked into Wannemaker's. They literally have anything you could ever imagine for a garden/patio/outdoor space. It's so visually appealing too.
Patio furniture is definitely an investment - it felt similar to buying a car - you really want to make sure you make the right choice. The service that we got from John was nothing less than absolutely EXCEPTIONAL. He was on the journey with me from the start to find the perfect fit for my family. I was extremely indecisive and John was extremely patient and helpful in answering my endless questions. His knowledge on the items is unmatched and super impressive. He even got out a measuring tape when I was nervous that the set we chose wouldn't fit in our space.
I was confident with our purchase, but was still a little nervous to swipe my credit card. Paula checked us out at the register and was amazing. She was so sweet and patient - even though they getting ready to close. It truly was the best experience from start to finish. Delivery was flawless too (and very reasonably priced!!)
My son and I went in a few weeks later to get some decorative outdoor pillows and John noticed us at the register checking out. He came over like we're old friends to see how things were going and even remembered my concerns with the space and wanted to ensure that I was happy with how it all turned out.
Then a few days later I got a handwritten note from John to wish us a Happy Summer. Come on, where else do you get service like that now?!

   Read moreOrdered a Bertch bathroom vanity with granite top and a medicine cabinet. Bowl placement in granite was a little off, causing the whole vanity to need adjustment. I was not informed that there was 5 color choices for the bowl, until after my order was already at the store. Luckily, the bowl turned out to be the color that was closest to the beige in my bathroom. Holes were never drilled in vanity for knobs even though I was told they would be, I had to get these drilled. Furthermore, I was never informed that there was more than one size of medicine cabinet. When I opened the medicine cabinet box it was only 16 in wide, but there was another size available that was 22 in wide (that I did not find out about til after) that would have been a better match for my 24 in vanity. If I had been informed of this when I was ordering it I would have ordered the larger size. I never expected it to be this small, most medicine cabinets going over a vanity are at least 20 in. I told the store (Joe, in this case, no one else could help me with this), the only thing they could do was offer me $150 to take it back and the rest of what I spent would just be lost. They could not refund the purchase price. I would have to order another medicine cabinet if I wanted a larger size. This is clearly wrong, customers should be fully informed of all their choices before buying and not after the product arrives. I will not be buying anything from their bathroom section again. My advice is to look elsewhere for your vanity and cabinet needs. These pieces are too expensive for the quality and level of customer...
