Orange County’s most beautiful park If you’re going to litter don’t come. Acres of nature with lots of walkways and trails to enjoy, not to mention a resort-like tennis center and facilities, programs and personnel, lakes, a baseball field, 4 basketball courts, a NEW volleyball center!, many covered picnic shelters, a huge children’s playground, a fitness circuit, spotless and safe bathrooms — and resurfaced tennis and basketball courts, roads and parking! Shawn Summerville and his team are attentive to upkeep but bowing down to a tennis tournament volunteer’s demands were scary. Newsflash to tennis volunteers and players- you don’t own the road and parking lot.

What a nice park and playground! They have a lot of amenities like baseball fields, basketball courts, walking trails, grills, and pavilions. The area is well taken care of and has a nice woodland reserve to enjoy. The playground is tucked way in the back of the park, and can be a little tricky to find. The signage could be better especially with the construction blocking the main road to the playground. The playground did have a lot of equipment to play on with two age specific areas in addition to swings. I like that it was shady and had a huge pavilion close by with a drinking water fountain.

It starts as everything an outdoor lover could want! They have a small fishing area and basketball courts as well as open field areas tennis and picnic areas that are covered. Everytime I've been here the facilities have been clean and well stocked, and the presence of sheriff or other law enforcement is nice to see. I definitely feel like I can have fun Outdoors With Friends and their children can as well. It's a fairly long drive to get to be back area of the park but that just means that they have packed in more I'm going to need to send some things to do for everybody.

I’m a regular here and I usually walk the trail two to three times which is around 3-4 miles every morning around 8-9am. I love this trail and how peaceful and serene it is, especially that it’s SHADED. But I must say as a woman it’s really important to be careful because it is too easy to be snatched up. The majority of the trails are surrounded by bush not to mention trail paths in the woods. Plenty times people have popped out of the woods while exiting the trail onto the cement path I was walking on and we’ve scared one another. I’d recommend walking with a partner if you’re a woman walking alone especially in the mornings, if you’re going around the same times. There are entrances along the sides of the path that are gates to surrounding neighborhoods and although the area is extremely safe it’s just better to...

While the wife was at a conference, my kid needed some play time, so we found this park.

The playground was well-kept and engaging. She loved it. The other people there seemed like mostly locals and everyone was very friendly, so it was good for her to get to interact with other kids. The thing I liked most about the playground was how well-shaded it was, surrounded by big live oaks. Not dark by any means; it was just nice that we weren’t out in the direct sunlight. All of the other amenities looked nice and well-kept too, especially the tennis courts, although we only passed through. Over all, the park had a friendly, approachable vibe. People were out enjoying the park everywhere we looked and there was still plenty of available parking. Totally worth the short drive...

If you're looking to get away from the tourist corridor and get some fresh air while eating lunch, shadow bay park is worth a try.

While not a very large park, it does offer many opportunities for activities and picnicing.

You can jog around the park on a paved trail, play basketball, play tennis, and the kids can enjoy a play area too.

They have a couple of pavilions that are covered and have picnic tables to have lubch, but they could be reserved for larger parties too.

They also have picnic tables out in the open, which would be much better if they planted trees o to offer some shade from the brutal FL summer sun.

Worth a look if you want to get some fresh air and get away from...
