I just had an incredibly disappointing experience at this coffee shop, which I was visiting for the first time. The shop was empty when I arrived, and I ordered an iced latte, paying $5.75. After picking up my drink, I went to the sugar station, but as I lifted the cup, the lidâimproperly secured by their baristaâcame off, and the drink spilled. I immediately grabbed napkins to clean the mess and apologized, even though it wasnât my fault.
An older woman, who seemed to be the owner, kindly offered to remake my drink. I thanked her, apologized again for the spill, and thought everything was resolved. However, to my surprise, she pointed to the register and insisted I pay full price for the replacement coffee, despite the spill being due to their mistake.
I politely returned the coffee and told her to keep it. As a small business, one would expect them to prioritize customer satisfactionâespecially with a new client. This was not about the money; itâs about principle. Treating customers poorly will harm your business in the long run. Instead of gaining a loyal customer, you now have someone who will share this negative experience.
Iâve since disputed the original charge with my credit card company, as I never even had my coffee. This was a zero-star experience. For anyone looking for great coffee and excellent service, I recommend CFS Coffee in Dr. Phillips, where they truly know how to treat...
Read moreOrlando, FL. Drove here because of all the reviews and enjoyed Yessikaâs cheery welcome and the skill of the other barista. The business vision seems to be evolving; there was wine in a fridge in a corner of the dining area and many great-looking pastries. Good Brazilian cappuccino, although a tad heavy on the foam, but it was beautiful, and my husbandâs hazelnut latte was good.
I asked about why itâs called Holy Grain and Yessika explained that the owner inherited the name of this coffee shop when they bought the business; beyond that they donât know why the former owners named it Holy Grain. With a name like that I was expecting sprouted wheat bread or couscous bowls lol. They did offer some pastries baked in house and some wrapped baked goods from a local supplier. Yessika proudly pointed out that the business owner is from South America and motioned towards the flat screen tv showing scenes in Portuguese. I had the Brazilian Cappuccino which featured a cube of chocolate at the bottom.
I had the raspberry muffin baked in house and it was very good.
The neighborhood loves this spot. Older couples walked a couple blocks here for their morning brew. A student did remote work at a larger table. There was a seating area with comfy chairs near the window. Several people came in for...
Read moreI have been coming here since it opened and thereâs a reason why i never left a good review about it. Customer Service has always been not good. Today, i wait in a 10 minute line, No problem. I get to order and she tells me at the front that what i ordered was going to take 10 minutes, which again no problem. 10 minutes later i look back and notice her giving another lady the meal i orderedâŚ. And she ate it all right in front of me and left in like five minutes, i go up and ask the lady how much longer and she says 3 more mins, and does not even acknowledge anything. Those extra 8 mins make it pretty much a total of 30 minutes i was waiting for cheese bread. She finally gives me my order and does not even apologize or anything, nothing. So i politely tell her âyou could have told me it was-â she cut me off and said âi told you!â I said âNo you said 10 minutes, not 20 minutes, what if i had-â cut me off again and says âNo i told you how long!â I said âNo you said 10 minutes, not 20 minutes, you couldâve have just told me!â and she quickly asks if i want a refund which i didnât ask for so that was nice however she did not even refund me the full amount. I do not mind waiting donât get me wrong, i was luckily in no rush but it was handled so poorly and...
