July 9 which was a Sunday, we had rented two private cabanas for our party of 10 and purchased water tickets. The total price was $416 and we (ahead of time) rented the cabanas in may of 2023. The cabanas had already started getting reserved in may so I panicked and got them then.

The park was super clean and had a good crowd. Everyone was polite, nice and smiled when you walked by. The only exception was like 5 rowdy teenagers in the adult pool who kept splashing everyone. When I went by them I screamed “DONT SPLASH ME THANK YOU” and they started laughing but didn’t splash me. Oh to be the hell-on-wheels age of 13 again. 🙄🙄🙄🙄 besides that we loved the facilities, slides and pools. The water in ALL POOLS were almost like bath water. The day was a brisk 63 degrees with the fog threatening to roll over every second, but every single pool was as warm as could be. The cleanest, nicest pool was the 7 foot diving pool (can’t dive) and we enjoyed swimming around for several hours while our kids were off with their uncle doing water slides.

The bathrooms were fairly clean and numerous. At 5pm when we decided to leave I went into the 8 showers and only 3 of them were being used. (The park closes at 6pm) I loved how MANY LOUNGERS, Adirondack chairs and umbrellas there were. If you’re worried you won’t get a place to sit, DONT! A busy Sunday and there were still PLENTY of places to sit and enjoy even in the shade. The chairs were all clean and sturdy.

The only reason I took off a star from The Wave was this: I guess their snack bar was brought over by a nicer company (then prior) and they touted you could get better snacks and drinks. The prices weren’t astronomical - burgers $8-$10, nachos and veggies/hummus $5, drinks $3-4…. But they were VERY PLAIN and very boring. The nachos were maybe 10 stale round chips with freezing cold canned nacho cheese (that’s it), hummus and veggies were 4 carrot sticks and 5 celery sticks in a ziplock with a small lunchbox sabra hummus container, the burgers were about the size of McDonald’s small ones and came with a ziplock of lettuce, tomatoes and a pickle. Overall for the price I know you’re thinking : what do you expect? But it was all soooo cold and mediocre, I don’t know. Lol

The last comment I want to say was the place opened at 11am and we got there at 1230. The first pool we went into was the indoor Natatorium. It had only been open an hour and half at that point. There were HUGE CHUNKS of black hair floating EVERYWHERE. Like someone lost their whole head of hair in the pool that morning. We kept having to dodge them to swim, lol. But the other pools were very clean. Besides that, that’s the only 🤮 thing we saw on a busy Sunday. It was 95% clean.

Would definitely go back here , for a fun day, a birthday party or any other time. Wish we could bring our own...

This review is regarding lap swim in the indoor pool at The Wave.

If you are an adult, wishing to swim laps in a serious, uninterrupted and safe manner, steer clear of this pool. I was impressed at first glance by the facility itself, and the guidelines on their website regarding lane sharing and swim etiquette seemed really serious and well organized. This is all a complete falsehood. The swim lanes are complete chaos, unregulated by the apathetic teenagers who act as life guards, and plagued by more teenagers who just loiter near the edges, obstructing the actual swimmers. Most people just pick a random lane, ignoring the speed designations, and most people swim either in the middle, or on whichever side of the lane they damn well please. It is a collision waiting to happen and so you have to be tremendously vigilant while you swim, which results in any serious lap swimming being impossible.

The facilities are nice, but the layout of the bathrooms are not conducive at all. The locker rooms are all of the kind you have to pay for, and they are outside of the bathrooms, on the main hall where everyone hangs out. The showers are filthy, smelly, with actual mold in the curtains. The changing area is completely opposite and far away from the shower room, and the shower room only has one small bench at the end that people have to fight over to hold their belongings while their shower. Everything is new, but not cared for, and this management will run this place to the ground if they continue to care for it in such a way.

Finally, there was a workman inside the bathroom this morning when I came in. When I asked him to leave because I needed to change, he told me I could go ahead but he had to stay and work. Completely unacceptable. When I asked if he would be there long, because I had to shower, he said I could shower but he would be there. This feels completely unsafe, and I simply have a hard time believing they can't have workmen make repairs during off-hours, which is what any serious facility would do.

All in all, this is a state of the art facility being run like a rural town recreation center. The front desk and the manager are nice but completely inefficient and ineffective. I deeply regret purchasing a pass, because they do not...

This review is for Dublin swim team Dublin Green Gators Read this review thoroughly before deciding to enroll your kid in Dublin Green Gators. They use the same pool for waterpark and swimteam with lot of harsh chemicals, making it very bad for swim team to swim every day, not to mention they squeeze the swim team schedule around that and green gators practice is every day 7 am in summer (gosh), when other swim teams around practice around convenient time of around 9 am / 10 am. Their swim schedule of every morning 7 am in summer is very inconvenient for young children and youth. And the head coach is not compassionate, she comes across as rude with no smile on the face, goes just by rules handbook without listening to what parents are saying. They have other time of 6 pm in evening, however the spot is not guaranteed The swim team needs to share the pool with general public, though not at the same time. General public, the whole facility operates from 11 to 6 pm, leaving the time of before 10 am and after 6 pm for the swim team They use lot of chemicals. The same pool gets used by swim team and heavy traffic of public on a given day. It is not just safe to have your swimmer swim there every day when the same pool is used by public The price to join the swim team is very high and you need your kid to wake up at around 615 am to swim there at 7 am every day I don't know how they are allowed to run a summer swim team when the same water gets used by such a heavy rush of general public The head coach is new, possibly in teens and rude. She talks about rule book and there is no compassion. They wont let the morning swimmer swim in evening, however they will let the swimmer swim in the evening for swimathon as it is fund raising event Your swimmer would need to share a lane with possibly around 5 other swimmers in one lane. Look around other swim teams in the bayarea, where the practice time is not in morning 7 am, where the pool is not shared with public and filled with outrageous amount of chemicals, where the head coach is compassionate and not rude. You will make your kid not like swimming if you get them to Dublin...

What an amazing community facility! Brought my 4-year-old here and we had such a fantastic time. The Wave really lives up to its name, there’s something for everyone here. My daughter was in heaven with all the options. We started at the splash pad which was perfect for her age, then moved to the playground when she needed a break from the water. The outdoor pool area is beautiful and well-maintained, and I love that there’s also an indoor pool option. The facilities are incredibly clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. You can tell this place was designed with families in mind. The colorful umbrellas and seating areas made it easy for parents to relax while keeping an eye on the kids. We easily spent the whole afternoon here and my daughter is already asking when we can go back. Dublin is lucky to have such a wonderful community resource. We’ll definitely be regulars this summer!
