So when I originally checked I was in a bit of a hard spot like I'm sure most of the people here are. I have been here about 3 months now. I checked in with my stuff and my elderly dog. I was never made aware of pet fees and I wasn't charged anything extra so I thought nothing of it. About a month in the manager Tony did a walk through of my room, saw the dog, again I didn't hear anything about a pet fee.
First off Tony has always been nice until recently. My main problem is with the employee Sandiya or Sandhya. I set up all my payment times with Tony and I've always paid. I noticed early on how rude Sandiya is. She never says hello she always just ask questions and stares at you. One time my tv remote wasn't work so I asked her for batteries. She said I will come into your room and show you. My daughter was with me and sleeping, so she said well let me know what time I can come into your room. I ended up just buying batteries from the store and it worked. Ever since that moment she started being even more awkward and rude and before. She has zero customer service ability. Then whenever she would be working when I would go outside to take my dog I would try to come back in the door and all the sudden my card wouldn't work. It's only happened when Sandiya was here. She would make it so I would have to go to the front desk and talk to her and she could ask me more questions again I always paid here. About 2 weeks ago the same thing happened I go outside my car doesn't work. I go to the front desk and she was here again. Literally the only rude person on staff.
She then tells me oh I see you have a dog we have to charge you more for that. I reminded her I've been here almost 3 months and no one's ever told me about a pet fee. She added $300 plus to my bill, leaving me to unable to pay the bill unless I covered all the fees that popped up out of nowhere. I try to talk to Tony about it and he said there's nothing he can do I have to pay. I asked him I don't have any other options you said well you can either pay or you could just leave. I will be filing a complaint with corporate. It's unfortunate she makes this hotel look bad and is just plain rude obnoxious extremely nosy and in my belief a little bit racist. I spoke to other guests at this hotel and they always bring up how rude she is so I know it's not just me. I would not recommend staying here as long as she works here. Not to mention I work nights she calls my room every day asking me questions while I'm asleep and I repeatedly asked her not to.
If Sandiya is here I recommend finding somebody else on staff to talk to cuz she will become obsessed with asking you questions every time she sees you. She is extremely rude and isn't this supposed to be the hospitality business, just saying.
9-16-25 Just as an update I have reached out to corporate and explained the situation. I was supposed to get a follow up on this situation by the operations manager. It's been 5 days now, zero feedback on rectifying this situation. The charges remain. Atleast the employee in question said good morning for the first time...
Read moreI was warned about the staff especially the manager the first night I stayed there. Guests and employees warned me. I stayed at this location during the pandemic. It’s one my son’s favorite places to stay. He’s autistic so it’s important that he stays at places that are familiar. That’s what made me come back. A few weeks ago my daughter reserved our stay there for 30 days while she went through management training in Turlock. We ended up only staying for a week.
When we got there we could only pay for 3 days and my daughter requested a daily rate there after. We had no choice. The daily rate, weekly rate and monthly rate are three different rates. The manager Sarai was the one she made the arrangement with. By the end of my week there my daughter was on the phone crying about how Sarai disrespected her and Sarai claimed to have never met my daughter in person. Which is not true. She met my daughter the day we checked in.
Everytime we tried to pay for this room the system was down or the manager wasn’t taking payments or the internet wasn’t working or the some staff didn’t know how to take payment. Or some didn’t understand our request. Everyone was confused all of the time and it was a massive amount of communication. The manager Sarai was rarely present. How can she manage a hotel without being present.
The room was in bad shape. We didn’t have any utensils. We had to have our own. The water in the tub only produced scolding hot water. No cold. The stopper was off entirely. Leaving a large exposed whole in the tub. The stove wasn’t working and the microwave cut on and off on its own. The maids never came to clean. They refused to give me towels and washcloths when I asked. It was a confusing experience. I also noticed that some employees received special treatment while the African American employees were mistreated. It was off.
Our last day there My daughter called me crying saying Sarai banned her from the hotel. When I spoke to Sarai face to face she told me she never told her she was banned and that she didn’t know her or what was going on.
It wasn’t until we stayed at the Extended Stay America in San Ramon East & West that maybe this was the universe’s way of telling me to stay away from this chain of hotels. I think maybe others might have a better experience.
There was a young girl there named Precious who was extremely kind. I left a gift for her and a few other guests for being compassionate when it came to my family. Treat people with kindness they...
Read moreI recently stayed at the extended hotel from 10-18-21 till today 10-22-21 and I have to be honest my stay was absolutely terrible and I mean TERRIBLE!!. The staff was rude , inconsiderate and didn’t have any customer service skills. Let me begin with the fact my room didn’t have the Necessities that it should have , which resulted in me having to call the front desk and ask if it’s available. I was given a time to come down and get the item ( comforter) . When I came down to the front desk and ask about my item they didn’t only give me the wrong thing but the employee also gave me attitude to go along with it . The employee I quote said “ you’re not at the Hilton hotel “ and proceeded to hand me another blanket not a comforter like I asked. I was honestly shocked the employee really said this to me a PAYING customer. It’s like her customer service skills just went out the window. Throughout my stay my room was not cleaned nor was the trash taken out like it should be . One would think during these COVID times they would keep up with the room cleanings but apparently not !. Putting a customer health at risk is never okay !! It shouldn’t matter how busy or short staffed your business is , a customer request should NEVER be ignored. To add to this terrible experience, today was my last stay and while I was away at work taking care of business they tried to charge me for an extra day because I didn’t clear out my items before the 11am check out time . However I’m at work and was given a time I’d be able to check out with no inconvenience's. I let the front desk employee know that and she completely disregarded what I had to say and proceeded to try and charge me for an extra day. I had to call my employer to explain which is a complete inconvenience to him and myself . Because this was already discussed prior to me arriving for my stay . I say all of this to say that the employees at the extended stay need to be retrained on customer service and have respect for their paying customers. I will not be returning to this hotel franchise ever and I will be warning friends and family...
