Phoenix Theatres Kennedy Mall — Attraction in Dubuque

If I could leave zero stars I would. Short story I got fleas here It was a nice day I was going to watch Barbie like everyone else but that day would change. I was at the 11:40am showing on August 6th 2023 my seat I think was E4 or G4 and everything was fine and I was enjoying the movie like everyone else with my girlfriend and then I would occasionally get itchy on my legs and I didn't think much of it since I was outside the other day and I thought it to be mosquito bites. I then left the theatre and my legs and feet were on fire itching I still thought that oh it could be mosquitos or my body was just uncomfortable from my detergent or something, anything. Only until I went to Jcpenny afterwards and I was trying on clothes did I realize that something was not right at all with these 'Mosquito bites' there were inflamed huge red patches all over my waist and inner thighs my ankles were eaten up like crazy and my armpits were too. I knew that this had to be a bug of some sort and not a rash from a detergent and I know it wasn't mosquito bites because they were way too inflamed and they lasted way too long it has been five days since I went to the theatre and I am still itching. The only conclusion that I could come too is that the chair that I was sitting at was covered in fleas or some bug just something disgusting that has left me in pain for the last five days not to mention that I also got bites on my nether regions. Me and my girlfriend will never be coming back here again and you shouldn't either it's not worth the risk that you might get bit by some bug here and get an infection. They try to be good, I think at times, they even achieve a level that is so close to good, but they shoot themselves in the foot without having a clue? Last time I came it was beyond bad, as we waited for 5 siblings to order tickets, then snacks while calling their mother to settle disputes from movie, to how much or person for snacks. While at least 4 people waited on them, and only one register, one line!!! This time was almost as bad. They still ran their ticket line through the snack line, and still no designated line for tickets only? Very confusing, unless you are a regular? Then she charged us for 7 instead of 6, and when I asked her about it, she said she didn't notice? That's literally her only job? My daughter paid for them online, and an older family member got sick and didn't show. When she told the girl that she still charged her. When I said something, she said she didn't know how to fix it, and in her face I could tell she thought I was being dumb for asking for my daughters money back, attitude and expression go a long way. The manager took so long to get, I came in late to the movie, as everyone was already seated and watching. He never did give me any record/receipt that it was taken care of except for his thumbs-up after the movie, after I had them find him to talk to me afterwards? It's just a mess there. I'm sorry, but I would rather pay more, to have a better experience ANYWHERE ELSE than here. I don't think they care, or understand, this poor service can ruin a business and thus everyone loses their job? It's a sad, poorly run, attitude driven, dieing ship. I took my grandson and granddaughter to your theater last Wednesday. We had purchased our tickets on line which was great. The man gave us our tickets when we arrived and we headed to the restroom before buying refreshments. Before leaving the restroom I looked through my bag and couldn’t find our tickets, so I took everything out of my bag just to remember I had put them in my sweatshirt pouch. I put the things make in my bag and headed to the concession stand. After purchasing popcorn and drinks, I couldn’t find my wallet. I explained this to the young man behind the counter and he told me to take my time. Thinking I may have left it in the car, I told him I was going to run out to my car and look for it. He was so caring and waited for me to do this. It wasn’t there, so I used my credit card and told the young man I may have left it in the restroom. He asked the young lady working next to him to check and see if I had left it there. He knew I was already upset and having my grandchildren he was doing what he could to help me. She went to the restroom while I stayed with my grandchildren and came back with my wallet!! I was so relieved and happy! I gave her a big hug and thanked her.
