I have never had an issue with our bookstore until today. I needed to buy an online passcode for an econ textbook which is required to do the homework (first assignment is due in 4 days). They informed me that they were all out. When I contacted UMD stores they told me that they still had 13 codes available that were bundled with the paper copy of the textbook. They told me that I would need to buy the bundle in order to get the textbook. Its only 20 dollars more, but I will never need this book again, I hardly have enough money to afford textbooks in the first place and I see no reason why they can't sell me an access code on its own.
If the class is going to require me to purchase materials through the school than they should have them in stock. I normally get my books online because of the upcharge the store applies to textbooks, but those codes make it impossible.
