Ok y'all..So sorry bout all the negative reviews today but my gah! I love Harris park it's a nice park, even though the merry go round toy needs to be replaced.. but besides that .. awesome place, good walking track, it's nice and shaded, it's got the basketball court and even the stage for all of our little town get togethers! And that brings me to my main issue with the place..it's a well known and loved place! And Lord knows there is nothing to do in Dunlap so it's one of the go to places when your bored or just wanna hangout. The place stays very crowded all the time and I hate that! Took my son there today to play and eat lunch and couldn't even find a place to park it was so full, so needless to say, we didn't stop. So..if they really wanted to improve that place and gah idk why but get more people going I think they should make the parking area bigger so more cars can have...
Read moreToday I took my 9 year old to Griffith Park in Dunlap, TN and it was fantastic!! There were lots of benches along the walkways and near the water area and they were well maintained and clean. The walking areas were very clean and the grounds were very well maintained. The new playground area was securely fenced and the new equipment was very enjoyable with something for children of all ages and abilities. The water play area was perfect, very chlorinated but not overly so, with ample seating in both shade and sunlit areas. Read moreThe splash pad and play equipment is closed. Which really disappointed my toddler who we had told he'd get to play there. When we pulled in there were a bunch of teenagers yelling and goofing off running around. So didn't even see that it was closed until we'd unloaded the kids. By that point they were excited so we had to put hyper kids back in the car and find a run down playground so we could play on slides.
