Dunsmuir Supermarket — Attraction in Dunsmuir

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Due to recent CDC guidance, fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks indoors, social distance so on and so forth, well when walking into the store today a woman asked if we had masks to which I replied no, Iv been fully vaccinated and the CDC and the president had put out they are not needed. The lady smugly responded “well we are following Siskiyou county guidance so you need a mask” ok fine I think, I retrieve my mask from my car and when I walk back into the store, the woman behind the deli is stating “ I HATE THOSE WELL THE CDC GUIDANCE SAYS THIS TYPE OF PEOPLE” in front of a bunch of customers which I turned around and walked out refusing to give my business to these jabronies.

So many things about this interaction are hilarious the first being, WE STARTED WEARINGS MASKS BASED ON CDC GUIDANCE!!!!! Secondly, Siskyou county’s guidance on masks and social distancing forwards you to the newest CDC guidance which was put out on the 13th of May. Absolutely ignorant and will never shop there again. I’ve been going here since I was 3 years old, and usually I would say the service is good and friendly, but an older blonde haired lady treated my girlfriend horribly today, as far as I’m concerned she should be fired, she made my girlfriend feel horrible and treated her like she was stupid, this is not acceptable behavior and nobody should be treated that way at a place like this. As far as I’m concerned, you’ve lost mine and any friends and family of mine’s business so long as she’s working there, i will not be recommending your store to anyone for the foreseeable future. I didn't spot anything on the menu at that brewery that I wanted for dinner so I stopped in here and picked up some things. Now that I have power in the van, I can cook or at least microwave and toast!

This is a small supermarket but they have a pretty good spread of stuff that will let you fill up your apartment or Airbnb. Frozen, deli, bakery, produce and kitchenwares. Everything you really need.

I thought prices were a bit high but this isn't a chain supermarket and it's pretty far from the nearest Safeway or whatever. It gets the job done and the price is covered by the...
