Café Ferdosi is an absolute gem. From the moment I walked in, the warm aroma of saffron and herbs made me feel instantly at home. The staff greeted me with genuine kindness and made sure I felt welcome throughout my visit. Omid is a very nice guy with a big heart that my day spiritually!
I ordered the koobideh kabob and ghormeh sabzi stew, and both were outstanding. The koobideh was perfectly grilled—juicy, flavorful, and tender, with fragrant basmati rice cooked to perfection. The side was tomato rice and reminded me of my parent’s cooking! The ghormeh sabzi was rich, aromatic, and deeply satisfying, with tender meat and the perfect balance of herbs and dried lime.
The atmosphere is cozy and calm, with Persian music playing softly in the background. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy your meal, and truly taste the care that goes into every dish. Read moreWe had an absolutely amazing Persian diner at Café Ferdosi! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Omid and his brother Ariya, who made us feel like part of their family. Their hospitality was genuine and unforgettable.
The food was exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. We enjoyed the Koobideh Kabob, a delicious chicken kabob dish, and the unforgettable Khoresh Ghormeh Sabzi, which was rich, aromatic, and deeply satisfying. Everything was perfectly seasoned and beautifully prepared.
To top it all off, we had a refreshing traditional yogurt drink that paired wonderfully with the meal.
This is a family-owned gem, and it shows in every detail—from the warm, attentive service to the authentic, home-style Persian cuisine. We left completely satisfied and already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone craving real Persian hospitality and flavor. Thank you,...
Read moreWe visited from Colorado after having gone to Persian restaurants in several states ( much bigger and fancier) and were quite impressed! Since we mostly eat clean at home, our tolerance to typical restaurant food with rancid oils and such is low, we had no issues afterwards and the food was delicious. Omid is a delightful person who understands Persian hospitality and gave us a warning about the food taking longer to prepare for our bigger group. He also kindly gave us a tour of the center which was so prideful and inspiring. It was a beautiful Autumn day so we all sat outside right after our grandson’s Persian class at the wonderful cultural center built and operated with love and care. The babies tried Ash e Shologhamkar on special for the first time and loved it! We got Vaziri Kabob with Zereshk Polo and herbs, all great! Dont miss it in Durham! They have a great take...
