Duke Park Playground — Attraction in Durham

This is the best playground in the area that I'm aware of especially for active kids. The climbing tower and slides are amazing as my kiddo could spend hours just going up and down. There's a nice paved path around the park that's great for biking. Nice stone shelter for birthday parties.

Cons- not enough/any sitting options for parents and caretakers around the playground except for the retaining wall. Poor accessibility to seating. Please...

Parallel street parking close to the Big Kid Playground. Big Kid Playground has loose wood mulch base. No shade. Flush toilets nearby.

Smooth rubber base for the tot playground. Twisty slide and straight slide. Play structure. No swings @ tot part. Stairs to get to the playground from the parking space/not...

This is by far my favorite park in the whole city. It has tons for kids to do. There are nice tall slides and swings. The only thing I don't like is there's no shade except quite a ways away under the trees. There is also a smaller playground for you get kids down below...
