Two Roosters Ice Cream — Attraction in Durham

I’m incredibly disappointed with the experience I had with this vendor. I arranged to have them provide ice cream at my wedding — they were actually the very first vendor I booked — and they were a complete no-show on the day of the event.

I communicated clearly and consistently throughout the planning process, and my wedding planner even followed up with them leading up to the big day to confirm details. They were listed on the dinner menu and were supposed to be a highlight for our guests — a special touch to end the night.

Not only did they fail to show up, but there was also no phone call or urgent attempt to make things right — just a brief email apology. No offer of compensation or genuine effort to rectify the situation. For an event as important and memorable as a wedding, this level of service is completely unacceptable. Our experience here was good. The inside is small so there were people waiting outside to go in. The staff was friendly and we got our ice cream quickly. They serve good ice cream. They had both inside and outdoor seating areas. My only con would be that they don’t wear hair nets or anything. There was hair in my ice cream, possibly because they’re leaning over the bins when they scoop. They fixed the issue quickly by offering a fresh cup of ice cream which was nice. However it could’ve potentially been the same issue because the staff’s hair was still hanging and they still had to lean over to scoop.

This is my first experience here at two roosters and Durham on Taylor and I must say the ice cream is very nice but the service was poor. The young man working at the time couldn't tell me what the flavors taste like had a similarity to another flavor or sort very dry He appeared to seem like he didn't know what he was talking about wasn't friendly at all I won't return here anymore it was just not welcoming
