There is a reason stores organize things by type rather than brand. Yes, people usually stick with a single brand of power tools in the interest of battery economy. Fine. But EVERYTHING is by brand (except Klein, they get one section for electrical tools and another 6 aisles down with everything else) . It is unbelievable. Measuring tools in 10 different places, give me a break. You can see the yellow DeWalt section from outer space, ok, great. But even if you leave the house with your heart set on an Empire brand combo square, how are you going to find that? By surpassing your daily step goal threefold, that’s how.
You might think, if your answer to “what kind” is “idk, the $40 kind”, that you can use the website to workaround the disastrous store layout. You cannot. Even after selecting a store location, you can’t filter search results by “available in my store”, and the “In Stock” label on search results does not mean it is in your store.
God bless the employees who have to deal with this day in and day out. They were pleasant and as helpful as possible under the circumstances, i.e. not...
Read moreFirst time at Acme Tool was there to check the place out, and buy a few things. But, unfortunately couldn't shop there as they have no mobility electric scooters for mobility challenged disabled veterans. This place is huge and would have loved to buy stuff there, but this place isn't for disabled folks (veterans included) to navigate the store which is huge btw. One employee did want to help me, but just didn't know how he could without a scooter in tow.
Even Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards have electric scooters for disabled folks (veterans included) to shop. Maybe when this store invest in electric scooters in the future is when I will increase the star count and spend money there. It is a beautiful store though even watched as it was being built. Just sad they aren't handicap compliant a.k.a. ADA complaint for folks like me...
Read moreI stopped in today looking for a part for my Milwaukee tool — a part I’ve been trying to find for quite some time. After searching the aisles a few times without success, Jim, one of the sales representatives, noticed I might need help and offered his assistance. We looked up the part in the system, which showed one remaining in stock. Despite it not being easy to find, Jim didn’t give up. He went above and beyond and ultimately found the exact part I needed. Big shoutout to Jim for his outstanding service — he was extremely helpful and determined to make sure I left with...
