Out of all the available restaurants/bar and grills in the Eagan area, Mad Cow is by far one of the best options in the area! You’re welcomed the minute you walk I the door with great service oriented host/hostess and seated promptly. It doesn’t take long to recognize this place values great customer service with waiters/waitresses that are there to serve you with a smile and a laid back personality! The food is great! Burgers made to order; flatbreads that are fire oven made and appetizers and desserts that are amazing! Everything from the “Holy Pepperoni” flatbread to the “Blackened Chicken Avocado Melt” to the Quesabirria to any of their burgers are top hits! If you’re fortunate ate enough to visit Mad Cow on a beautiful late Spring or Summer night, there is an amazing outdoor patio with water features that you can enjoy while here. If you’re in the area and are looking for great eats or just a nice place to meet up with friends or even have a drink after work, Mad Cow is your place!

Great food and service. Typical bar and grill atmosphere. Pretzel bites and onion rings were awesome and worth ordering again. I had the Mad Cow Burger with the Buffalo Fries... Loved both... The Mad Cow was three 1/4 lbs burgers, all others on the menu were 1/3 lbs burgers. That being said, I would probably order one of the other burgers next time. It's easier to cook a 1/3 lbs burger medium rare than a 1/4 burger. My wife got the Boursin Burger and I liked the cook on hers better (photograghed). Think I'd go for the 3-Alarm burger next time. My son-in-law had the Flamming Bleu Berry Burger and loved it. Daughter ordered the Sriracha Salmon and said it was good. Not the best she ever had, but would order it again. Kids got Pizza and it was excellent. The photos of the Onion Rings and Pretzel Bites were after handfuls were pulled out I was not fast enough with the photos.. all in all, I would go back... Great experience and great service...

Happy hour runs 3-6. Appetizers are $8, wine $6. Started with the onion rings which are huge and come in a serving of 6, which is more than plenty. They were extremely salty, the batter was over seasoned and we couldn’t finish our order. We also tried the yum yum wings served w ranch. They were sweet with good flavor but the chicken itself was overcooked and dry, we couldn’t finish them. Watermelon salad with grilled chicken was delicious as was the mad cow burger (3/4 lb!). The chicken sandwich on Texas toast was good but after eating half we realized it was still pink in the middle. Server (Amanda) was wonderful but overall we were disappointed that half of our food missed the mark. One last note - bartender was constantly adjusting her hair (she must have been hot), and then resumed making drinks (grabbing lime wedges etc, eek!). They should probably wear their hair back to keep their hands clean? Total bill came to $80ish.

What can I say?  A place that specializes in burgers should be a lot better than this.  Right from the start I was disappointed by the wait as we were told a 5-10 minute wait and they were seating others that had just walked in the door after us.  It was incredibly confusing as these people did not appear to have a reservation.  Second, we ordered immediately after sitting down which included drinks.  It took forever for our drinks to get to us and I noticed our drinks were sitting at the bar for 10 minutes or more.  When our server finally got our kids drinks back to us she had to ask us what we had ordered again.  When our burgers finally came out, I was really disappointed in how the burger tasted.  It was incredibly dry and hard to eat.  It wasn't until after I finished and my wife handed me a couple that I realized what happened.  They made my burger well done instead of hers.  I specifically asked for pink.  Hers tasted juicy and like it should have.  She wasn't happy after discovering the mixup.  Not to mention when I asked for mayo for my wife, she waited for 10 minutes and then finally started eating her burger because she couldn't wait any longer.  I went up the bar and asked for it.  They brought it out in less than a minute.  Two minutes after we got it, we got the mayo we asked for from the server.   All in all, my wife couldn't even eat her burger.  I know they were a little busier than normal but something as small as mayo shouldn't take that long.  Not to mention, there really wasn't any interactions with our server for the most part.  No, "how is your food, etc."  We had tired kids and I ultimately decided to not say anything as the service was poor.  I was left disappointed with both the food and the service.  I definitely will...

I visited here recently with my Boyfriend and his mother. When we first arrived, we did notice how packed it was for a Thursday night. However, we soon realized it was because it was Bingo night!

Despite how packed it was - the restaurant definitely seems well equipped and ready for the crowd. We were sat very quickly (within 5 minutes minimum) and our waitress was really funny and nice. There are PLENTY of options on the menu to choose, from salads and sandwiches to burgers and even tacos? I had the queso burger with fried jalapeños, my BF had the bleu berry habanero burger, and his mother had the cheeseburger.

My burger was super yummy. I am a huge nacho cheese/queso and jalapeño fan. I wasn't expecting the queso to be super good (I'm from CA and TX and FL so I've had some goooodddd queso), but I was surprised! It was really really good. I loved the crisp jalapeño slices - they added the perfect flavor and kick to the burger.

My BF's burger was okay. I was excited to try the blueberry habanero sauce on it but it ended up being pretty lackluster. The sauce really had no hint of berry at all and just taste liked garlic mayo. Plus, there was literally maybe a teaspoon of the blueberry aioli on the burger itself. That part of it is a key piece of the burger in my mind, so the fact that there was hardly any on it was a bit disappointing.

Overall though, the food was decent and the staff were nice. I'd definitely go back for the queso burger or...

I went for bingo one night with a friend and we had nachos and margaritas and it was great. So we brought back a group and it went really bad. The drinks were abhorrent. There was no solution offered so we asked for a shot and some fresh lemons and limes to try to doctor them up but they charged us 50% up charge (if I knew how much they were going to charge us to try to fix up our own drinks we could have just paid for new ones) and then brought the wrong shots. We ended up not drinking them. The dill cheese curds didn’t have a lot of dill flavor and they were an odd texture like Gouda and American mixed. The nachos were pretty good but had large chunks of romaine on them which seemed off and took the place of the necessary toppings. My husband’s burger was TINY. I mean, junior size as in a kids meal. My tacos were ok but lacked toppings or flavor. The slaw was just bare coleslaw so the only flavor was the chicken. It was almost 200 dollars with a tip and I just don’t think we can repeat that. It must have just been an off night because it was so different than our initial visit. *update - apparently it wasn’t clear - we were never offered any drinks to be remade or any solutions for anything. Not even the wrong shots being brought to the table. We told the server and she didn’t say anything than “I am sorry” so ordering the shots and mixing our own drinks at the table was a last ditch effort ...
