We were told by a friend that The Tea Time had just opened, so we decided to check it out. My, are we glad we did! Located in a nondescript strip mall in Eagan, this charming Boba tea and rolled ice cream store is a delight to the senses. Cleverly decorated with understated-cool Asian decor, The Tea Time has ample, comfortable seating. The workers behind the counter were cheerful and helpful. We ordered two rolled desserts and enjoyed watching them custom-make our ice cream, first working ingredients into the base, then allowing it to freeze, then rolling it into the delightful shapes you see in the pictures. They were happy to explain the whole process. Believe me when I say that they taste as good as they look. And here’s something that I believe makes the store unique: an avocado smoothie. While initially that may sound admittedly outside the box, it’s really quite delightful. (And I don’t even love avocados that much!) The flavors are equal parts avocado, creamy deliciousness, with a hint of hazelnut. Trust me (and I can hardly believe I’m typing this), it works! As we were “MMMmmmmMMM”ing through our chilled treats, we struck up an enjoyable conversation with the owner and her son, who were very kind and enthusiastic hosts. It seems like Eagan has another wonderful family owned business that is worth a visit. Enjoy!

4/14/24 updating from 5 to 1 star. Ordered a rolled ice cream. Place was not busy at all. However, 25 minutes passed and I still didn’t have my order. When I went to the pick up counter, I noticed that the Girl making the ice cream was visibly sick - she kept rubbing her visibly running nose and then working with the ice cream. I asked for a refund. Never coming back here again. The service and food quality has gone downhill over the last few months. Stay away if you don’t want to get sick. 12/20/23 updating from 5 to 3 stars. Ordered the brown sugar boba tea again today and it was extremely bitter to the point I couldn’t drink it. There was hardly any boba in it also. The chocolate taiyaki did not taste anything like last time - there was hardly any chocolate inside. Disappointed overall and will not return in the near future. Service was good and location was spacious/clean! We Ordered the brown sugar boba and a mango tapioca shake. Both were good, but a bit more expensive compared to what we’ve seen at a local competitor’s place. Especially if you wanted to add toppings. Having punch cards would be a good idea :). Only giving 4 stars because the ice was not fully blended through in my mango shake and kept running into clumps. Will return to try the rolled ice cream and the taro shake.

NEVER come here this entire review was edited on Sunday March 17th 2024 AND IM NOT OVERREACTING AT ALL lets Start They completely messed up the matcha we ordered 30% sugar it tasted like 5000% it looked like pure sugar and it tasted like pure syrup when we poured it out there was a one inch thick layer of syrup and that's just one drink when we ordered the mango coconut they added cheese and I heard them say cheese top and when I asked them is this a cheese top they assured me it wasn't (it was) the only good thing was it was pretty and even then the atmosphere was loud and there was too many people even late in the day like right before closing time. And to bring my thesis back NEVER COME HERE ITS HORRID.
