A very nice medium to large sized library. There is a huge collection of literature, including foreign language books as well. I was very surprised by the rather large Russian section.
What this library represents though is a haven in the midst of East Cleveland. With a mix of historical and modern, it is a strong positive environment for young children to thrive. The staff are also friendly and lively. A nice quality in library staff.
My only complaints are two: it is a bit dim in the main level, it uses a lot of natural light, which honestly is somewhat of nice feel sometimes, but still somewhat distracting a first. Also, there are not enough areas to just sit and read, relax, work etc. With a library of this size, it could use a few morning...
Read moreI am appalled at the lack of customer service I received. I am a librarian at a different location and decided to go to this location when an item I had requested was never located. Upon arrival I encountered rude circulation staff. The staff clearly do not send out customer requests and the only helpful person was the reference librarian. I left without the book I had come for. They eventually found the book but still refuse to send it to my home location so that I can pick it up. I drove about an hour to get this book and they kept telling me it was not there when it clearly stated it was and then when they did find it they refused to send it....
Read moreMy family and I would go here all the time before Covid 19 shut everything down. The Children's librarian Mrs. Brown has always been helpful and she goes out of her way to make sure the kids have something educational to do. My only complaint would be the female guard, I witnessed her make the teenagers do push ups when they wouldn't listen to her. She actually screams in their faces while they're trying to eat downstairs. She has also gotten loud with Parents and your staff members in the Children's area.. But other that that, I like...
